✘ Purchase: bsta.rs/SDbkyg NOTE: the WSG adlibs in the intro are part of the tag for this beat, they are not in the licensed version of the beat. *About this track for those interested* Maaaan this one was mad fun to make. I came up with the main loop pretty quickly. The sample chops had such a perfect bounce to them already. The original drums I used were solid, but when I listened to them a few days later at the gym, they just weren't quite hitting right. I expect greatness of myself, so I didn't want to let this one slide. The next few days and completely redid the drums (are you sensing a theme here?) and finally got the mix sitting perfectly. But then came the problem of the intro and the hook. Because the verse had such a crazy bounce, I wanted the intro to provide anticipation that would match that energy, and I also wanted the hook to feel distinct. That's when I found the vocal chops for the intro, which I then later added to the verse. In my opinion, this just ties everything together for the beat and takes it to the next level. It really sets the tone and vibe of the beat, and allows for that contrast between the hook and the verses. I had to add a little spice just for entertainment value by adding the WSG adlibs in the intro to make it that much more cinematic. Don't worry though, these aren't included in the license. I just wanted you to get an idea of how crazy the intro could sound with the right artist. With gratitude, H💎
