      Hey! Good to hear from you Tim! Yes, summer got super busy for me! Many days spent at Road America. Had a lot of fun though. The Porsche project turned into a very short project with a good offer... It's gone. :) SO the focus is back on the BMW as time is getting short for it too. My wife wants to take it over and make it her "daily"! Time to go back on the hunt for the next one my friend!

      @@The_Sword_Rules Well, I guess I need to get the Z06 out to the local track at some point. I only have all seasons on it and not having any experience pushing this car to any of it's limits I will take it really easy and just have fun.
      I almost made a comment that I was surprised you still had the BMW. You swap as quickly as I do.

      @@The_Sword_Rules Nice. I look forward to watching. I have had quite a few gun videos lately and they always do pretty good. Wednesday and Thursday nights I have Premiers where I filmed a round table talking cars with Front Seat Driver (Jason) and Guys Talking Cars (Jared). It will be fun. Other than that I have been doing a bunch of car stuff with the Vette. Car stuff doesn't do good for me other than the Kia ones. I think I got lucky on that one with having one of the 1st 2023s out there and getting the video out really early.

      @@DadsGarageDIY My only track time with the M440i was at Road Atlanta in the spring. I wanted to get the car out on Road America this fall but the track days offered didn't work out and now they have closed the track off a little early because they are replacing the track surface. It's going to be wider and so smooth. I can't wait to get out on it next spring! I might get a sneak peak sunset cruise on Halloween.
      My wife and kids bought me a season pass for Road America for my birthday and I literally spent every other weekend there this summer watching races with my wife, a friend or a family member. Such a great facility to have close by. My favorite races are IMSA, Indy Car and NASCAR.
      With colder mornings, my car has the all-seasons back on it. I was reminded of that the other day when I took a roundabout at 'summer tire speed' and suddenly heard a bunch of tire squeal LOL! And yes, it's time to start the hunt for my next BMW. It should be a fairly new model if not brand new. It has to be a coupe as I just can't do four doors styling. So it'll probably be either an M240i XDrive (new) or the M540i XDrive (used due to $$$). This will take a while!

      Thank you! When you click on the link, it shows the tips and says G23 model. I'm pretty sure they are all the same, G22, G23, G24. Scroll down a bit and you'll see different styles. I chose the picture for the Carbon Fiber C model and that shows that it fits G22, G23 M440i. I like the look of the stainless surrounded by the carbon fiber.
      They all have the same shape inlet, oval, just different metals. I am still impressed with their quality! They stay put and clean up easily.
      Mine have the ///M stamping showing and there was a little note in the box asking to not show that on pictures or video on social media to keep them out of trouble :)
      When I compare these to the BMW accessory item (at 4x the cost), they look identical. I have a feeling that this is the same Chinese company that is making them for BMW and in typical fashion, they are selling these like... black market?
      I can almost guarantee that you will like them. Glad you enjoyed the video.

      Thank you Laurent! Starting from the front - Dinan CAI (video here - ruclips.net/video/LdNSSRpCDnc/видео.html) Carbahn Stage 1 tune (video here - ruclips.net/video/Kq7_xqci8XM/видео.html ) MPE (video here - ruclips.net/video/znsbL0DNwSo/видео.html ) and Tips.
      The tune doesn't really change the exhaust sound as it just allows the twin turbo to spin up faster, earlier. The exhaust does allow for a bit of additional burbles and pops. I'm very impressed with the performance of this car and the way it sounds. As you can see from my video timeline, I have switched cars often. But this BMW is the best I've owned and it's not going anywhere for a while!

    Hi!
    Thanks for the vid, it will help me with installing my exhaust ends on my M440i (2024 with curved display really is a little palace).
    I was just wondering whether the tight fit with the rear bumper cutouts has become an issue in the long run? Does the outside of the ends keep cool no matter what?
    Good to know how to approach when I do the installation, if I don’t feel any objection from your answer that is.
    Greetings from Sweden!

    • @The_Sword_Rules

      I don't believe it's possible to be a problem, just based on science. The only contact between the tips and the exhaust pipe is the 3 clamping bolts. There is an air gap because the tips are larger in diameter than the exhaust pipe, hence literally no heat transfer right?

      Thanks Major Tom! I'm kind of OCD with exhaust tips placement. They have to be just right and symmetrical to each other. So I think the best advise that I gave in the video is placing the spacers above the tips to hold them in place while tightening down the set screws. Getting them to sit evenly was driving me bonkers!

      I'm not sure what to tell you. If you're using the provided link to order these, I don't think it matters. The exhaust tips were larger in the I.D. than the MPE exhaust outlets by about 1/4" all the way around. My MPE exhaust outlets were the same size as my stock exhaust outlets, so no matter what you have on your M440i, they should fit. They clamped on with 4 bolts that were tightened down on the pipe and jam nuts held them in place. They are not an interference fit.

    • @The_Sword_Rules
      @The_Sword_Rules  Год назад

      These tips are for the G22 and G23. With modification, they may fit but I would not bet on it. The bolts that hold these in place leave a mark on the exhaust pipes but it is under the car, not visible at all and likely hard to see even when laying on the ground under the car.

    How did you get to that top screw to tighten it down?

    • @The_Sword_Rules
      @The_Sword_Rules  10 месяцев назад +2

      Plenty of room up above the exhaust tip, although at first glance it doesn't look like it. It's a Hexagon headless screw, so lay on your back, and use the short end of the Allen wrench on that top screw to hold it while you tighten the jam nut. You can actually turn that screw with your fingers to the depth that you need if you do that screw first.
      Give it a go and report back on how the install went for you! Have a great day.

      I don't know. In the link that I provided, I ordered them for my car, the G22. I had no need to know what the tip diameter is. And if you have a G22, you can use the same link to order them.

      @@The_Sword_Rulesthe diameter of stock exhaust and MPE are different. I bought these back in 2021 and they didn’t fit on my car. The inlet was too small. Im skeptical and buying new ones

    • @The_Sword_Rules
      @The_Sword_Rules  Год назад

      @@hollowsnags5323 not sure what to tell you. My exhaust tips were larger in the I.D. than the MPE exhaust outlets by about 1/4" all the way around. They clamped on with 4 bolts that were tightened down on the pipe and jam nuts held them in place.
      This is the first time I've heard of the exhaust outlets being a different size. Maybe they sent you the wrong tips? Anyway good luck, and the reason I'm describing in the past tense is because I just sold my BMW M440i and have moved on to a new (to me) car that I will have in an upcoming video.
      The BMW was a phenomenal car and I held onto it for a lot longer than I normally keep my cars around. Another BMW is in my future for sure. An E46 M3 is on my bucket list, but I first had to check something else off of that list

    Did they ask for the specific diameter of your exhaust pipes before ordering the tips for an exact fit? Thanks

    • @The_Sword_Rules
      @The_Sword_Rules  Год назад

      There is no exact fit or interference fit. The shape of the tips is similar to the shape of the exhaust outlet. Please watch the video again and note how the exhaust tips slip over the exhaust outlet and are clamped in place with bolts and nuts that lock them tight.

      @@SherifEldeib-o2d Gotcha - Yes, I was confused and glad you responded. Yes, my exhaust tips had the 3 slashes and M on them as an embossing. They came with a note in the package that politely asked to not post pictures or videos showing the logos likely due to either copyright infringement (I didn't really care if I showed them, their problem), being knock-offs, or actual BMW OEM tips being sold out the "back door". I'm assuming the later because these were such high quality. I went to the dealership, which I work at, and found a car with the OEM BMW tips installed and these were identical in every way.
      I'm glad that link is still working as this video is over 2 years old now... I thought the world of my M440i and I would not hesitate to buy another BMW in the future.
      The most interesting thing is that I continually see video reviews of cars stating that their brand new 2024 model "whatever" does this really cool thing like it's a big deal, and I think to myself, hell, my 2021 BMW did that!!
      Do you have an M440i now? Have a great day!
