Thanks for the vids. Very interesting. Think you could do a quick vid on how to set the Radex? I purchased one but the poor instructions translated from Russian to English make it hard to understand how to do even simple things like getting the background radiation reading set. You seem to have a great grasp of using the Radex. It would sure be appreciated if you could do a tutorial vid or two on it!
The Radex RD1706 only detects gamma and beta and gamma if I am not mistaking. When you have an alpha detector you will see the CPM rise a lot more, uranium decays mainly in alpha particles..
Although that's not really a concern because Alpha particles aren't harmful unless you ingest them. so don't put uranium in your mouth and you're good.
@stdane96 I also wouldn't base a accurate measurent on a cheap rusian geiger counter. I this case i use it only for detecting and comparing the radiation.
Hey nice vid dude, loveley uranium marbles and sweet geiger counter!
@RavensTube
I will make a "small" video about it when i have a little bit sparetime.
First marbles he unbagged are modern Jabo classics.

Hi, What wavelength is that uv light?

What causes it to be pink, or red and orange??
