The only device I regret selling, out of all the things I ever sold. Love the MS-404 \m_ The A-100 Modular System was based on MS-404 circuits in the beginning. Props to Dieter Döpfer, great guy.
yeah i even think about getting a spare one now, as mine has a faulty BD fader now. :-) for me it's still the number one performance drum machine, perfect layout and size. not getting really warm with the S.
@@Erhalder That's interesting! The comparison with the S. I never tried any of these two, since I own most of the original machines (909, 808, 707 and 727). BUT... since I think about doing live shows again, I won't bring these to clubs - so I am thinking about what to do. Sticking with Roland would probably the smoothest transition in regards of learning the machine. I also consider getting an OctaTrack, but that would probably ask for a completely different workflow. I'm not sure whether I want two very different setups. From the videos I heard, the TR-8 sounds kinda more edgy and bold - in a good way! Whereas the TR-8S seems to have a more HiFi-sound. Then of course you can process them using outboard to a certain degree. Portability and reliability are two more things to consider. I'd appreciate your opinion on this topic: TR-8 vs. TR-8S Thank you :-)
usually i record at least the kick on a separate channel, however this time i just sent the drum mix through the same fx pedal for a different sound. but i also recorded the non-distorted drum mix on its own channel, so i can add some clean signal back in where the transiants are still intact. i havent mixed any of these jams yet, so i dont know yet how im gonna approach this.
Dang, that 404 sounds badass. Also, rad beats.
Top notch as usual mate 👌👌👌
Thank you for giving me more electro vids
cheers mate 🤖

nice, i didn't know the older a100 modules were based on 404 circuits.
That TR8 sounds better every time I hear it
Soon prices will go up ten times, when they will be declared #vintage 🙃

Do you record the drum sounds separately or all in one go?
