Lime was a synth music outfit from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The group was composed of husband and wife Denis and Denyse LePage. Very early in their career, the group released an instrumental 12" single vinyl record called "The Break" under the name Kat Mandu. The single was successful and peaked at number three on the disco chart. Singer Denyse also wrote and sang on the record "Dancin' the Night Away" by Voggue. In between the Kat Mandu project, the LePages also helped produced and arranged music for numerous studio projects, notably for acts signed to Prelude Records.

Did I party to this song in the 80’s! Why did we have to grow up?

Rainbow skating rink on Clark St in Chicago and WBMX Friday night jams! I would stay up w/ a tape in the deck praying for this song to come on so I could get it. It never failed that when it came on, the Dj would say something! I would be like shut up! I am trying to tape this! Way before youtube was even thought of. 1980's dance music was the best!

One of the best members of 80's disco with their own style. I still enjoy listening to their songs today

Classic. I've rollerskated to this jam thousands of times....even still today. Never gets old.

  • @simonskidz

The smell of Halston A12 and Z14 are still lingering up my nose along with the excitement of having lived the happiest moments of life, fruit of the Golden Age and now scent and emotion of those years races back with this song as if were just yesterday. We are ultimately going to have a seniors party and this is what we will be dancing well into out 80´s and 90's.

Even well into the 90s it was rare to be able hear hip hop on Chicago radio. House music was king.

  • @Jitsover50

What an original sound. RIP Denis Lepage! My personal fav BTW

This was one of the all-time party starters! This song got everybody on the floor! In the Chicago House Music scene, I played his song and blended it in with "Heaven in the Backseat of My Cadillac."
