My first scooter was a 49 cc Honda Metropolitan. I loved it. I sold it for a bigger scooter. The 250 cc Honda Reflex was fun but not as fun as the Metropolitan. The little one weighed only 176 pounds. The big one weighed 385 pounds. There is something more fun about a scooter so small and light weight that makes it more enjoyable. Though I lived in a city with no hills. Top speed on the speedometer was 39 mph. Which was perhaps only 33-35 mph. It only got 93 mpg. For a while I lived in a place with hills. At the time I had the KYMCO Agility 125. The bigger engine really helped with them. Though a good 49 cc two-stroke motor might be strong enough to handle the hills. Thank you for showing us the ride and the scooter.
Kymco agility 50 is a good scooter i have one 2023 i buy it a few days it's good for the city i don't like driving car in the city because the traffic scooter is a good solution for me
I am watching this video from belgium because this is the same bike i will be riding over a year, little problem is… my bike is tuned and goes 60kp/h. Can’t wait!!!!
My 2007 kymco people s 49cc 139qma has over 100.000km on the clock. The warranty is no more, but it does good at long drives. With good maintenance it goes a long way.
I have a 94 CC TaoTao if you have a freaking 50cc Kymco Agility front forks it doesn't matter what year it was manufactured if you're trying to get some fronts steams for it right just as long as it's a 50cc and not a higher CC like 150. Ah. ?
@@freedomformen2548 It had sat for years in my uncle's garage, all it needed for that 295 km trek was new gasoline to tank and air to tyres. After that I have replaced cvt belt, and those centrifugal pieces on cvt, air filter, oil change, new battery and so on....
@@janialander414 Good to hear that ! Its so much fun to ride on scooters. Long distance trips are amazing , you see the landscapes slowly passing by and smell the nature 👍👌 Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪
I believe it is supposed to be around 100- 110 mpg. I can't remember for sure. I live in a very hilly area, so mine will be somewhat lower. It still goes pretty far before I have to fill it up. I need to check it on the next tank.
Mine goes a little faster than 28. I'm going to do a video with my phone on GPS. It will show the true speed. I don't trust the scooter's speedometer. I will also be doing some mods in the future. By the time I am done, this scooter should do well over 40. Hopefully, around 55.
You should consider a genuine roughhouse 50 not much more expensive than the wolf. Is the fastest 50cc in North America. 47 miles per hour unrestricted. It has a two stroke motor.
60’s Superman I wouldn’t recommend anything other than a genuine roughhouse 50 there made in Taiwan not China and there one of the few that make 2stroke scooters like the Yamaha zuma which they only make in 4stroke option. I paid right around 1800 bucks out the door and without touching anything My top speed was right around 36 mph and it got there faster then my big bore ruckus that does about 50mph. The 2stroke has a lot more power and they are a lot cheaper to build or just maintain.
Do we need to clean up agility 50 electronic carburettor or it does not require any maintenance. I do not know much about machines but I think carburettors need to clean up after 2000 to 3000 Kms of drive. Agility 50 has an electronic carburettor while most of the scooter have EFI machines. Please share your experience. Thanks
The 150cc engine has different motor mounts and bolts up on the top and the 50cc 4 stroke mounts one the bottom however the 2 stroke 50cc has same mounts as 150cc to make a 150cc bolt up you'll have to have it fabricated to fit. I have en 07 agility 50 it has a 100cc head and an A9 cam and a 100cc carb and it will do almost 55mph that is a good option
I see that. I'm glad I didn't go out an but a 150cc engine. The 100cc kit is much cheaper anyway. I guess I will be going that route then. Thanks for the info.
@@Grey_Beard72 no problem I have heard of a150 with bottom mounts but I can't seem to find one anywhere you'll enjoy that kit though get the a9 cam as well and a racing clutch and veriator you won't be disappointed

I got a roller boss that wasn't restricted. It let's me go close to 40 top speed without messing with the rpm. Most scooters are restricted with the drive pully via the roller boss.
Hay my kimco scooter cranks but won't stay started I adjusted the values put new weights in it. Have to kick start it cause the electric start don't work
It could be the carb. That is the first thing a lot of people say to change on the smaller Kymco bikes and scooters. If you watch my other videos on this scooter, you will see mine giving me a little trouble with the idle and being cold natured..

@@noahd4433 I'm going to do some videos on the mods. The best scooters are the big names like Honda and Yamaha. Kymco is right between them and the Chinese scooters. I've seen some Chinese scooters last but the vast majority either get trashed or do not age well. I hear that the carb is the first place you want to upgrade. There is also supposed to be a cuff on the front pully of the CVT that is supposed to get you some more top end and also a wire you can clip to derestrict it. You can also switch out the exhaust for better flow. Other than that, you can do a 100cc big bore and that brings out loads of power.. I'm hearing some stories that the 100cc big bore is actually faster than a stock 150cc. I can't confirm it though.
Also, note that if you get a newer Honda 50, big bore kits are not an option. The cylinder barrel is part of the block. That is why GY6 engines are so popular. They are much more customizable.
Most manufacturers recommend not letting it sit and idle for long periods of time. They usually have instructions to not warm up more than 30 seconds. To drive it but not to exceed certain RPM's, until it reaches operating temp. You don't see these instructions on the visors of cars anymore since fuel injection took over. They actually want you to have the rpm's up slightly to get the oil moving through the engine. The main reason for warm up in the old days was for the carb to act right.
I really like it. Especially for the price I paid. There is better out there but they are more expensive. I haven't had any troubles with mine so far. I would definitely recommend it.

Check the charge status of the battery. Sometimes, they come without a charge.
Where are they made and is someone in the 260 lbs range be too much for this scooter?
