I think you are on the right track. One should definitely not think he is above another when correcting another, but we all need people in our lives to speak the hard truth to us. I know I definitely need that because I tend to not take things as seriously as I need to. That's part of the "iron sharpening iron" in the body of Christ.

That makes you a hypocrite because you haven't mastered the sin your in bondage too, yet you preach a victory over sin that you yourself haven't obtained. Your out of context rebuttal and correction that your judging me with is a statement in a specific verse where Jesus was correcting a certain group of people who were about to attempt to stone a woman under the Law of Moses for adutery. The Holy Spirit told us to judge other Christian's because of love for them to correct, encourage, and rebuke. Have you not read those verses yet in the bible?
I think there would be no preaching on overcoming sin if we lived by your principal. No hard feelings, I understand where you're coming from, but everyone is a sinner, so instead of hiding behind your sin, and being comfortable with it terrorizing Gods people, we need to speak on it, and rebuke it, even if we're going through the same thing, because the church body needs people to help them with what they're going through
