      Not on those tight twisties with a little fella like that, it would only slow him down to add more weight. The power really don't shine till you get above 120 mph. That's when gearing & ponies take over.
      I'm 250 pounds with all my gear on, & the CCs are advantageous for low torque applications.

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket 2 года назад +1

      Enough torque, good cornering clearance and chassis balance, suspension, sticky tires, and lightweight adds up to a lot of corner speed. I think a person on a Ninja 400 that's set up really well could be fast on the Dragon.

    Yes, that guy is one with his bike! So comfortable at speed he makes everyone else seem slow, but you aren't really. It seems like the notoriety of this road and the sheer number of sport bikes riding so fast has brought too much attention and the law enforcement has been issued orders to get things in control. Too much of a good thing I guess. What the sport bike riders need are more tracks to go have fun on, just like drag racers got in the 60's and 70's. Stay safe man. If I was 40 years younger, it would be a pleasure to have you dust me off. I have no desire at 73 to go down and get seriously injured. That would not be a lot of fun for me.

    • @CubanRider

      Juan depends on whether I'm riding solo. With the Mrs I bump the rear tire pressure to 33 PSI, the front to 31 or so. When riding solo and doing this type of riding, the front is at 30 psi, the rear at 25, cold/ambient temperature pressures.

    Go to 4 minutes and 40 seconds and play at Quarter speed. Light rider, light chassis, low chassis, very good body position with flawless smooth riding technique. In particular late brake and early throttle applications. But if you notice he's not even running that much max lean at mid corner because he doesn't have to. The front tire therefore is never anywhere near the limit and while it may look dangerous to slow people that wobble it actually isn't. I'm actually more impressed that Cuban Rider could keep him in sight for more than 3 corners running what he is running. Humble for no good reason sir. Well played.

I just changed a 10y old front tire on my new to me 2005 Tuono to this S22, going to switch the rear tire once the current Michelin shows some more wear. The Battlax are phenomenal street tires, I recommend them all the time. I even used them for track work during my first track days and the held just fine. Very predictable, grip everywhere, just not as aggressive as the Dunlop Q3/Q4 or Michelin Power GP/Cup series.
