Albert's solo stuff has been underrated I hope it's able to grow as big as Julian's solo work

+Jimm Espinoza I like both of their solo materials but I'm just saying that since Julian is the frontman for the strokes his solo work has always had more publicity unlike Alberts

that drummer is a boss on the kit
he ruin every song, he was playing to much. Especialy in everyone gets a star, that used to be a good song but i feel like there is not concise parts anymore on it because the drummer is always playing more than it should

It is not. Music is great, but the vocals are bad and they destroy the music... He shouldn't sing. He is a great musician and songwriter (maybe), definetely great guitarist, but 100% not a singer, his voice is ugly...

Best kexp i've seen around, usually them interviews are awfully awkward but this one is pretty objective and chill, killer performance from Mr Hammond jr, great sounding band as well.
I wish I could see him in one of his shows! he's such a talented, humble and kind artist....
It's honestly unfair how much attention Julian's solo work gets but almost none of that goes to Albert, Nick, Nikolai, or Fabrizio when they've all produced solid stuff as well.
Because none of them are Mr. Cool
They're not as good though. Julian's 11th Dimensions even though very old, was so much better than any of the other members' solo albums

i love albert's solo stuff...so melodic and well written...but he's gone through a lot of band members!!! everytime i see a video he's playing with different dudes!! amazing songs though...really help with my depression!! thanks KEXP as always x

Never heard of this guy (or these guys) but I liked it! Got a pretty big Strokes vibe all around with the biggest difference being the vocals.

Albert hammond jr. is genius.
He's underrated, i feel he's the soul behind the strokes. Sorta like Carpenter makes Deftones work- and similarly they both had a "falling apart" where the star vocalist did their own thing but-it was never the same.
Thom yorke is genius. But his stuff even though I enjoy the shit out of it- is not radiohead.
Great bands, and OMFG sounds seem to happen when irreplaceable forces join together. The push and pull of vocal vs. guitarrist makes some incredible magic.
