How could I add a grid floor so the sim interact with it? I've tried adding a grid to the coll_geo node, and merging both the object and the grid together, but it doesn't show up in the flip sim node nor the sim interact with it
1:57 The problem is that "Flip Source" not exist. Only "Flip Source Instant", "Flip Source Pressure" and "Flip Source Velocity" So wich one to use ? :)
Flip SOURCE is missing from the nodes. There's so many flips now and I have no idea which one to choose. EDIT: It's just the Flip DOP Source. Don't get confused
@@CGArtistAcademy hey so i got it working just like you showed in the video. Not sure why it didnt work first time, maybe i needed to go back to first frame. Thanks for your help, awesome video!
@@joelvarjassy88 can't get it to work in houdini 18.5, tried all of the above. I have extruded text converted to vdb and back to mesh. just won't work. unfortunately :( I like the the tutorial very much but i can't follow through really, stuck at 7:49
this is a great tutorial! but i was very confused by your pronunciation of the word "parameter". i kept trying to figure out what a "parameeter" was, as that isnt really a word. The word has nothing to do with the concept of "meter" as a unit of measurement and is pronounced differently. other than that thanks for the great tutorial!
Does not work..... Can't make the collider to collide, even with following the tutorial carefully. That's it, i'm done with fluids simulations in houdini !!!!
Boss.. can you tell how move that sphere like fluid falling object with animation.. like while the fluid falls downward on pig head.. top of sphere with move with animation.. while falling fluid..?
this was a really good tutorial. Quite straight forward. Thank you
Your Welcome .. And I'm glad my tutorial helped. Stay tuned for upcoming Tutorials :)
Ah, another Houdini flip fluid tutorial. Let's see if I can follow this one! (it'll be a first)
Thank you soooo much, your guide is super easy to understand!! it seems like u r an starlight in the dark for me
Thank you so much for your kind words ... stay tuned for more tutorials.. :)
One of the better tutorials I saw. Thumbs up for clarity and how you explain things. Thank you!
Your welcome ... Stay tuned for more stuff
thank u for this tutorial
You're welcome ... Soon the second part is coming. Stay Tuned :)
Thank you so much sir we really need this type of basic tutorial thanks again sir

Hi, Instead of flip source can we add points from volume node to the emitter is this a correct way?
Really nice tutorial to start flip basics ... please keep updating!
Thanks
sir thank u for all tutorials❤please provide more on destruction
Thanks for your support Vaibhav. Sure I will create more tutorials soon.
Thanks for the reply and i m glad that an Indian pepole is making such good tutorials🔥😍
This is amazing, I'm loving these simulations so much! A doubt, how would i convert these particle system to a mesh/surface?
Thanks Aman ... you can simply follow the second part of this tutorial... it’s about meshing these particles ..
Thanks for the tutorial.
What if it is a skeletal mesh?? I would really appreciate an answer
It only works with Houdinis own primitives and test geomtry. Everytime I import my own .obj files it wont work... :( Anyone know why?
Excellent!
Thank You very much!
Your welcome.
Can you make to some Houdini videos Hindi language
This is my third Flip Fluid tutorial today. The liquid never collides with the static object.
First Houdini tutorial I understand 😂 thanks a lot! Subscribed for more ❤
thank you! this was a really amazing tutorial.
Thanks alot this help me so much
Your welcome.. Stay tuned for more tutorials
Hi! i have added a custom file geometry but the colission isnt working, you have any idea of how i can figure it out to work?
same here
What would you put into the DOP IO to mesh this resulting particles?
I solved: you would input the "flipsolver" as the DOP node.

Nice ... More Please
Yes .. more tutorials will come soon .. stay tuned .
how to stop when reached exact values particle emitter ? its infinitely rushing on mesh
Very nice tutorial! Keep it up.
Same story H 19.5 I'm unable to get fluids to collide with anything
Dude, helped a lot !

How Do We Import Textured Model ?
Like I download donut with texture so how should I work with them?
Just import the downloaded model and apply the textures you got with the model .. :)
More basic housing 18 tuts plz
Sure will do :)
Hey, this doesn't work on version 18.0. The fluid doesn't collide with the pig. Any ideas?
I have tried this in 18 and 18.5 .. It's working fine... Please check your nodes again.

@@Mr.Die_go the problem might be in your merge node. the order of the inputs matters for collisions

Finaly found need to anable slip on collision check box, and put sleepscale about 0.8
Try changing the staticobject>Collisions>RBD Solver>Surface>Collision Detection to "Use Surface Collisions"
Ok dude ok ,just dont repeat 'ok' every time please ,its annoying
