Hey Ted ,l like how you "Test out & Prove how things work in the real World". As usual, another precision built Attachment. Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours.
I just got my scraper blade today and have been looking to find out what the extra tabs are for on the back of the blade. This explains everything. Thank you.
Ted, can you have a removable pin on the back end of that turnbuckle and then make two sets of brackets where that turnbuckle pins into. One for the down position and one further back that you can pin it in the up position. Just a thought.
Just a friendly suggestion, if your guage wheels are in tandem , with a pivot between wheels when you come across an uneven section it will only raise or lower the blade half the distance each pass. Kinda like the road graders with tandem rear wheels. Nice quality blade, thanks for sharing good luck 👍.
Nice one. Didn't mention it but the brackets on the blade end look pretty sturdy in terms of bending the things sideways if you clip a tree while turning sharp, something like that. Another thing you could do is since the 'arms' are wide enough that the top link looking things fit entirely inside the brackets, is just make the bracket at the wheel end longer and put two different holes in it, basically an 'up' position and a 'down' position. That way you just stand at the wheel end, pull that pin, lift the arm until you line up with the other hole, and stick it back in. That would be a lot faster than cranking that thing up and down just to get to a 'storage' position. Another thing that might be handy is that the weight of the gauge wheels helps the blade cut whenever they aren't being used as wheels. Lots of smaller blades could use some weight added (although yalls stuff is beautifully heavy to begin with!!) this does that as a side effect. Keep it up!!
Thank you for the demonstration! I have a similar plov but the wheels are attached more directly to the back side of the plov with holders of the same kind as the ones you would have on a trailer drag arm but with larger bearing wheels. What are the benefits of having a larger distance between wheels and plov?
We will be offering gauge wheels/brackets for our box blades soon. Concerning being able to interchange... I can’t say it will function properly at all though. The box blade gauge wheel tubes are 3” shorter and have a good bit of angle in them compared to the rake/ scrape blade tubes. Is this still available? I’m trying to order the EA XTreme Duty 6 way Tractor Scrape Blade but the gauge wheel option is only offered on the deluxe. The video looks like it’s a xtreme frame with a deluxe scrape blade.

Thanks so much for the kind words and support. #StayTuned

With the wheels vertical on the blade would be extra weight for grading down pressure good idea
“We’ll be here for you.”
Will you be offering as an add on kit to retrofit to all of us that already have a blade?

I think I'd like telescopic pin-type arms instead of turnbuckle style.
Not that much "absolute" precission.
Fabricator - "Who's going to be testing these?"......PR Guy - "Ted"......Fabricator - "Oh sh*%!"
Hey Ted, could those mounts be added to the wicked box blades as well to be able to run gauge wheels on a box blade?

Nice, but I'm waiting for the hydraulic gauge wheels. I'm sure Ted will be doing that soon
