And I'm not going to let you do that to Bridget!" So when Stephanie repeats those words now, we know that she is not only using them figuratively but literally. Stephanie feels that Bridget's actual life is in danger because of Brooke, since one other person (who was in Bridget's situation and shares many of Bridget's characteristics) has already died as a result of Brooke's affair with her husband. So now, Stephanie wants to protect Bridget the way she couldn't protect Macy, and this adds urgency to her words because she truly believes that the stakes are life or death.
Excellent connection between Macy and Bridget! That’s also supported by Stephanie sadly muttering to herself, “another life destroyed . . .” Stephanie seems to be the only one allowed to comment on the pattern of behavior Brooke shows.

Honestly they probably considered that, but ultimately chose for Amber to be the one to lose her child. It’s indeed odd that Amber became pregnant just before the writers decided to make Brooke and Deacon happen. It seems as though the writers realized that they needed to streamline. Since the tension between Amber and Deacon was no longer relevant, neither was her pregnancy. Therefore they ended her pregnancy and moved forward with Brooke’s, which was far more consequential to the story and characters. Brooke’s pregnancy and paternity affects everyone on the show. Amber’s did not.
