Jeff, it was nice to finally meet you at the museum and Thanks for adding my car to this episode. Your phone picked the colors up great. I love my yellow / red override and I think all the others you featured looked great as well. See you at the caravan
Yes I agree, I missed his energy and videos. I respect he has other responsibilities but he truly is an inspiration with respect to the corvette community
I purchased an orange Corvette from your dealership (Lee was the sales guy) and ordered red seats for it, a color override. It looks great. Plus, I had red stripes put on it. I get positive comments all the time although some people think I was nuts.
Jeff, I like all of the examples you've shown. I bought a 2002 Z06 with Electron Blue paint and a mod red interior from Ciocca's predecessor. It was a beauty. I've also owned a '63 fuelie convertible with Daytona Blue paint, a red interior and a white top, It was a rare combo that got plenty of favorable comments. Neither were extra cost. That said and assuming all of those cars travelled down the same assembly line at BG, I don't see why the Bowtie people can't offer any of these combo's at no extra cost. Great video.
There should NOT be any color override charge! GM has the capability to insert any and all colors into their production line. It does not cost GM a penny more to insert any color combinations. The override charge is a cash cow for GM.
One of the best things about the C8 is each of us can customize it too exactly out tastes. I liked black calibers, black wheels and black lug. nuts. I didn't want my wheels to stand out and capture the eye away from the body lines. How many color seat belts? You can make the car yours.
I’m looking to buy a C7 grand sport. Is the torque tube issue that I’ve been reading about, is it really a big concern. Or is it just not that widespread?
The most less desirable spec that I’ve seen was Red Mist with Tension Blue interior. Just like you can order the Stealth Package, GM should offer it in a color match of the exterior, especially if you have a Dipped interior.
There should be no over ride charge for your corvette when you order your corvette, Jeff how are you guys on availability for a Z06 1LZ torch red corvette.😎
Jeff, you and I both know that the color override which is $800 in Canada, should not apply to the Adrenaline red especially with the two tone inside the Red Mist cars. What it has done has made the cars rarer. In 2023 doing this I was able to order a Red Mist 3LT HTC Z51 FE4 with E60 and other options where only 7 were built similar to mine but not exactly the same making mine a one of one.
Honestly, most of those cars I would not buy, but if they like them that’s all that matters. The sky cool / white exterior is very nice IMO, I would prefer to two tone those seats just to lessen the white a bit, my least favorite would be yellow with red interior, blue with red interior, again not my choice but ok, red mist with two tone red interior is acceptable, I would love to see a sea wolf gray / with two tone sky cool seats. My next vet will be sea wolf gray / tension blue. Want to order my Z06 that way, but never got an allocation to order on, so ended up buying one on used mkt, it had 100 miles torch red/ black interior, I have added some red carbon fiber trim instead to add a bit of color, I am not a big fan of black interior in anything, but if I was going to get a 2023 Z06, it was my best option. Definitely should have waited, I paid top of market price, could have bought same car for several thousand less had I waited. Oh well !
You sound windy. No Corvette owner would ever disrespect there Corvette referring to it as a Vet. The car is an Icon a Legend that has inspired dreams. It's earned the respect to at least be called by name. You can always spot the true Corvette owner and the maybe one day one's. 🎉
@@emilyramsey9079. And you can KMA, I happen to own 7 CORVETTES, how many do you have. Disrespectful, on what planet. It’s just an abbreviation get over it!!
I own the yellow with red car jeff showed on here and I’ll say I debated for 3 years while I was waiting. When it finally came my time to order I still wondered if it would be too much. The day I went to pick it up at the museum I knew I made the right choice. I’ve been amazed at how many people pull up beside me and give me a thumbs up. I know my color isn’t for everyone but I love it and am very happy I went for it.
The color override charge is GM’s way of trying to save customers with questionable taste from themselves. If I were Chevy, I’d charge a lot more than $695 for an override. I wouldn’t want some of the truly terrible combinations I’ve seen out there messing with the brand’s image. It seems some people are too clever by half with their “one of one” builds. There apparently are a lot of customers who don’t understand the concept of “just because you can doesn’t mean you should.” As for some of the examples you showcased: I actually like the Cacti on red. I’m a little surprised it’s an override. Red Mist with Adrenaline Red is a horrible combination. Sure, both colors are nice, but they look terrible together. They neither match nor have enough contrast - you’ve got to have one or the other. White on Sky Cool Gray is also bad, but admittedly not as offensive as RM on red. Again - the colors are too similar without being the same. If the seats were actually white, the combo would look good. Those blue seatbelts on the white Eray, however, are super random. The orange on red combo looks like nothing short of a mistake at the factory. Thank goodness it’s “one we don’t see every day.” Riptide Blue on red is not a combo I would personally do, but I don’t necessarily think it rises to “override” status. However, I’m not a fan of Rapid Blue on red at all, especially red dipped. If you order a dipped interior, you’re destroying the effect by changing the seat belts. Again - people trying to be a little too clever. Instead, they just end up wrecking the design.
The first car, an era in cacti green, had a great color but needed more carbon on the exterior. As far as the interior goes, the car was spoiled by the customers poor taste. The second car, the yellow car with a red interior, looked like fast food-McDonald's coming at you. I couldn't live a day with that car even if you gave it to me. Car number three, the white car with the carbon package on the exterior, was very good inside. It was doable with the gray seats with the white borders. I do not like white seats because they pick up stains from your clothing, like blue jeans, in no time at all. The blue seatbelts-I did not like those. As far as the other cars with adrenaline red, I have come to the conclusion that I no longer like red interiors, as far as all the other rides that I've seen. Now I know why GM considers these overrides. Customers are ruining these cars' appearances with their poor taste in color selections.
why do you all like these boring colors like silver , black and gray. A vette should be a bright color that pops. A ZR1 is on my horizon. Saw the reveal, it should be the best vette ever by far with a cost to go along with that.
The laminated widow stickers are a very cool touch, but could you hold steady on them for a couple of seconds so we can pause to read all the spec details.. lol I no there's always that one person who B!tches.😂 I wish they would give you the option to color the complete interior steering wheel and all just like the C-3's beautiful interior colors they had. Now those were extremely nice and in so many beautiful colors, Not counting that but ugly Carmel 🤢🤮😂
Wow, a sales guy shilling for a Corvette Dealership. Where have I seen this before? Hmmmm... Can you name all of them? And why not? He's just trying to make a buck.
Jeff, it was nice to finally meet you at the museum and Thanks for adding my car to this episode. Your phone picked the colors up great. I love my yellow / red override and I think all the others you featured looked great as well. See you at the caravan
Great to see you back zippy
Yes I agree, I missed his energy and videos. I respect he has other responsibilities but he truly is an inspiration with respect to the corvette community
The gray on gray and white on white looks great! Not crazy about the other overrides. Let alone the extra cost. Great video Zipity.
The orange and red looks ridiculous. The person should have gotten a free optometrist visit.
It’s amazing you can get a corvette for less than some pickups
Very cool white & gray!!
I think the C8 hype is over.
No manual transmission and still sporting the Camaro taillights since the C7.
Crazy how Ciocca still has markups on used Z06’s. Guess they don’t want to sell them? I see the same Zs for sale for quite a while.
Great video ! You showed a lot of
Great to see your vlogs back on you tube Zippity , always a must watch . I don’t think 695 is unreasonable to make it your own !

Great show I got a 2020 love it
I have a 2021 and 2023 and love both of them. Both are convertibles. Sax cars no more cigars
I think some of what you showed are a natural fit. I think it’s a way for GM to charge almost everyone another $695 extra!
1:18 - "That's hot..." (best shallow AF Kim K voice)

$600+ override is definitely a no brainer at Corvette Corner :)
The white Z06 with sky cool gray interior looks good and I was surprised to see that was a color override. The rest of them... I get it. lol
I like the yellow and red McVette.
Porsche is my fav C8s are too common like tattoos.
Arctic Storm Trooper E-Ray nice
Storm Trooper E-Ray
I’m looking to buy a C7 grand sport. Is the torque tube issue that I’ve been reading about, is it really a big concern. Or is it just not that widespread?
Hi on the color override can I get the Habanero interior on a 1Lz or 2LZ?
In your videos when you’re at home, I noticed you have a lift in the garage, just wondering what the height your ceiling is

If the interior on the orange car was black it would be a perfect Baltimore Oriole fan car. Not crazy about those red interiors.
The the dipped red with the rapid blue is kind of ridiculous in my opinion.
Some of these cars should be paid in full before going into production
Where is this dealership located?
Duda what kind of name is that???
Maybe Ronald McDonald will buy the yellow with red seats.
Uhhhh.... how many non-customer Z06's are you sitting on? How can I see the list?

Chevy website not open yet, for 2025 build for Corvettes.

I don't understand how gray with any color is an override.
Zippy some of these color combo's look like a blind person picked them out.
Some are just ugly HOWEVER ..... NONE should be extra charge for stupidity or otherwise
None should be override! Just a money grab.
The orange and red combo is hideous................

Thats a McDonald's Corvette the yellow and red
We have a plan, it's do nothing

All over priced and no one can work on them . These are not real Corvettes that stopped in 1977
That’s really, really, really ugly
