I can't begin to share how many times I had encounters with the Lord when I came back to Him in 1992. He is so real. When he hugged me I could feel the fire on my arms where He touched me, and a couple of times I saw the outline of His body. There was a time He spoke to me and I saw the eyes of fire and the white hair. He is real and I will serve Him till the day I go home with Him

Hey Liz I think this is so profound I wanted to share briefly my encounter and the shortest version is Jesus smiled at me and he looked like the actor from The Passion of Christ. The longer version of my story is so funny 😆 I love Jesus.
The first step is to ask... Repent for sin and forgive everyone from your past and especially yourself. I was watching other Christians being touched by Jesus in a powerful way at a intimate Christian fellowship and I started asking the holy Spirit why I don't experience those things. The holy Spirit immediately responded and told me that I had built up walls around my heart that keep out his love! This really crushed my spirit and I felt regret and remorse but also confusion because I did not know how this happened. So I immediately prayed and asked God, how did I do that? How did I build up walls around my heart that keep out your love and there was no response. That was 9 years ago and through much deliverance and inner healing and letting the holy Spirit guide me through my past. I was led to situations when I was a baby, God took me back to more than one instance where I was a infant and he showed me things weren't the way I thought they were. He led me to forgive the people who hurt me and to take responsibility for where I fell short throughout my entire lifetime. This was a little confusing to me because I was expecting it to be from the time of salvation forward, but guys and his holy Spirit is doing a huge work in me and to come to find out he's doing the same thing in many of the hearts of his children. The shaking that's happening will bring many to their knees and once they're they will find Jesus. I say all that to encourage you, Jesus loves you so just pray and ask him to visit you. Remember this is all about a relationship with our creator and just like a human lover God has a way of drawing as closer to him through our experience. When hard times come cling to Jesus and when he doesn't visit you right away just know it's because he wants to draw you closer to him

is it normal that this message causes me anxiety because I haven’t been able to experience Him in this way. I have a little peace because I know He saved me and is working it out but I gets stressed because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to quiet myself before Him and turn my heart attention to Him no matter how hard I try.Its frustrating. Ive had encounters with Him but not in a while. I have 3 young kids, and Im exhausted and my house is a mess.
I hear you. Don't strive, but do keep at it. Soaking music helps me get quieter and transports me so that I can listen, praise, pray, and be with Him. It creates an environment that is harder for the outer world to penetrate. Ask for Wisdom and tell Him you just want to be with Him. I've not had an experience like Liz where I have seen Him, but I know I am seen and known and I trust in His love for me.

He led me to forgive the people who hurt me and to take responsibility for where I fell short throughout my entire lifetime. This was a little confusing to me because I was expecting it to be from the time of salvation forward, but guys and his holy Spirit is doing a huge work in me and to come to find out he's doing the same thing in many of the hearts of his children. The shaking that's happening will bring many to their knees and once they're they will find Jesus.
I say all that to encourage you, Jesus loves you so just pray and ask him to visit you. Remember this is all about a relationship with our creator and just like a human lover God has a way of drawing as closer to him through our experience. When hard times come cling to Jesus and when he doesn't visit you right away just know it's because he wants to draw you closer to him

is it normal that this message causes me anxiety because I haven’t been able to experience Him in this way. I have a little peace because I know He saved me and is working it out but I gets stressed because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to quiet myself before Him and turn my heart attention to Him no matter how hard I try.Its frustrating. Ive had encounters with Him but not in a while. I have 3 young kids, and Im exhausted and my house is a mess.
I hear you. Don't strive, but do keep at it. Soaking music helps me get quieter and transports me so that I can listen, praise, pray, and be with Him. It creates an environment that is harder for the outer world to penetrate. Ask for Wisdom and tell Him you just want to be with Him. I've not had an experience like Liz where I have seen Him, but I know I am seen and known and I trust in His love for me.
I get in touch with Him through the word. He is speaking to us and it directs our life everyday.
