thanks so much for posting this.Louis Wain is a great artist and he was involved in animal rights anti vivisection.Check it out its true. There are a collection of medals that he was given from the various animal charities.
So ahead of his time in that it reminds me of the LSD visuals but esp with possible S. it was "as is". Beautiful, and I don't think it the terms of the work deteriorating, but more of "his inner visions". My degree in Psychology and prof worked with those with S and it is indeed a terrifying disorder. Thanks for uploading this.
Thank you very much for compiling and sharing this collection. Breathtaking. Wonderful. Far too much is made of this great artist's mental condition. All I know is, he was a very gifted artist who shared his gift GENEROUSLY. That's enough for me.
At some point before his schizophrenia had become more pronounced, so that he nowmdrew abstractions; there are some paintings where you can see he wanted to give the cats happy, innocent or mischievous looks on their faces, but could not.
Bethlem Museum of the Mind will be hosting an exhibition of Wain's work from 26 November till 4 February 2017, open to the public 10am to 5pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and the First and Last Saturday of the month.
Ese hombre fue un ser excepcional, pudo ver más allá de si mismo,más allá de la materia y de la ilusión de esto que llamamos vida, pero pagó un precio muy alto por ello
Hallo Roberto, At 6.56 is my favourtrite Lois painting. Yet, I can find no one selling a print of this. From where can I get a print, preferably famed, in the UK?
i love how, even in the realistic cat drawings, his style is so visible in the eyes and ears and fur
It's a sad history, but very inspiring art
Неповторимая сказка! Спасибо!!

Amazing Artist.🖤🐱
True. I love cats and so his art
Interesting how his later work changed from Cats to fractal like images. schizophrenia affected how he painted - almost like an LSD trip.
A brilliant collection of Louis Wain's work...wild creativity! Thank you for this video.
Louis *"WAIL?!"* You had ONE JOB!!
LOL, just kidding, thanks for uploading this.
I have never seen such a large collection of his work
I love cat's and Louis Wain work's.
Me too
I try to take comfort in the fact that, even through his illness, his feline muses seem to have stuck around, however obscured :)

@Rephrenix exactly. That's why I said "no pun intended". I didn't know how else to describe it.
I have been a while cemented under a falling sky
good
I cried at the way his art deteriorated, his earlier paintings were so full of life and character - to see them change made me very emotional.
They changed...they didn't deteriorate.
@@katg7387 OK pedantic correction ten years later, his *mental wellbeing deteriorated as reflected in the art
They still wee beautiful till the end ,there’s no deterioration only evolution
Then he was perfectly normal and the entire world should follow suit.
check the film : the electrical life of Louis WAIN
