I spent about 2 hours this past weekend purging, cleaning and reorganizing our 3 bathroom drawers. I guess I'm ahead of the game...at least until February. Lol
I started this morning by force no greater motivator. We were gone on vacation for a little more than three weeks. We did not have time to really clean up before we left. So I got home yesterday and opened the dishwasher it was clean dishes but the smell was bad so I decided to deep clean that, then I started throwing stuff out the fridge and the pantry that was not being used. My mission for the next six months is to have my home not just decluttered but organized. I've been decluttering for a while, but I still hold on to things because of the guilt from the money spent but no more. Time to get rid of everything that I'm keeping out of guilt that is preventing myself and my family from really enjoying our home and that is keeping me from having the time to spend with my family.
I decluttered my toiletries that are under my bed…34 showergels due to gifts from Xmas. Also 16 body lotions for same reason. I only use certain brands due to sensitive skin so have put aside regift as hampers next Xmas in which I will add the odd face mask, bath bomb, body spray
I love, love, love this!! Especially the combination of declutter of a room and “homework” for the rest of the month! Thank you!! 2024 is going to be my year of decluttering!!!
Feel better. I just put out two big boxes and a bag this morning for a donation pick up. Once picked up I schedule again for the next week, this keeps me going.
I am using toiletries that are almost gone and samples before buying anything new. Any shampoo or hand soap I don't like, I use it to clean the toilet. Can't wait for the challenge/goal each month.
Getting rid of a bunch of packaging makes such a diff for me. For me I eventually found out that thickness and texture and size of towels matters the most to me. I fell in love with those XL, thinner waffle type towels (although for me also absorbent and cotton). I was visiting my adult kid and I was like wow. Where did you get that towel? I love it. Of course he said idk I can’t remember. Lol. I have 2 now. One is grey and one is light blueish. Got rid of most of the thick white ones. Just kept 2 for guests. I also have one Turkish towel I’m gonna try out when my one kitty gets done with sleeping with it. 😂😂 But yah. Same for all other things. It’s so much better when you find “the one you love” Bcuz you wonder why you even have all the others laying around anymore. I just chock all that other stuff up to “experimenting” and as it goes, many an experiment just doesn’t work out and we are not obliged to “stick with them” when they don’t do it for us. When I’m on the fence with some of them, I make a point to do another “experiment” with them ASAP and then decide if it stays or goes. (This is esp true for things like bathroom and kitchen and cleaning tools/products and wardrobe). A lot of things like barely touched hygienic enough makeup…I can often find people I know willing to also give it a try. Lol. Def I keep all the get ready stuff put away. Now it’s a habit and there are very few things left on the surface most of the time.
I was tired of women’s razors dulling so fast. I tried the men’s Cremo razors and they have really surprised me and lasted. Their shaving cream is great as well. I have sensitive skin that dries out even from organic baby body wash and this stuff works great.
Towels….two per person if can get one washed & dried whilst other in use. If not 3 is better per person: one in use, one in wash, one ready to use once used one needs a wash 😊
I'm using a razor my son left when he was visiting. It was 2 years ago and I've never even had to change the blade. Hint: Dry your blade after each use and they'll last longer
Someone suggested using a table spoon of Blue Dawn dish soap on a wash cloth thrown in washer with your whites. I’ve been doing this. It helps keep items white!
Nail polish never goes bad! If stored properly it will be good for years. If it gets thick, a few drops of nail polish thinner (NOT remover) will make it good as new. If it looks separated, simply shake it up. That doesn't mean it has gone bad. :)

Thanks for the encouragement!! Not only I have filled 6 trash bags , I have found €15 in a box. Win/win!!! ❤
Thanks for the inspiration! 💜
Recover Quickly! Thank you for helping us by sharing and giving tips. ❤
Count me in! I’m ready to declutter in 2024. Doing the challenges as a group is by far more fun. Thanks!

Just got a safety razor and I love it

Happy 2024!!! Prayers for your full recovery. I'm in on your monthly challenges - such a great idea! Always rooting for you!!!!

I agree with almost everything except for nail polish. You can thin your nail polish with a thinner and it’ll be good as new for a few years
I hope you recover quickly! I have to laugh. I tried the white towels and bed sheets. Just don't! Yep...they never stay white after time.
Love these ideas and the monthly challenges. Off to work on my bathroom 😊
Wishing you well Candice!

Oh that's a good idea to use it as a cleaning product!
If we keep finding that we shove something at the back of cupboard, drawer etc. We probably won’t wear or use the item! What I found anyway! Haha
I would use gray towels instead of white. But yeah I think white towels just need to stay in the hotels lol
I use a rug, stepping out of the shower, but it gets put up after. Don't like extra decor or anything "extra" in the bathroom.
Thank you so much! You are so precious and easy to watch! I’m looking forward to a decluttered home!
So glad I found you! I am decluttering my bathroom this week.

What you do with the empty containers, I have so many! Here thinking I am going to need them🙃
Ready to keep decluttering. Great video. Speedy healing on oral surgery😊😊
Hope you’re feeling w. Great video, thanks

Hope you're ok lovely! speedy recovery :)
I try to keep only a small supply of samples that we use when we travel.
I've found that the venus razors for pubic area are the only ones that don't cut up my underarms, ankles, or knees.
You could use shampoo that you don’t like on your hair as body wash.
I use the unwanted shampoo to clean my toilet. Makes suds and smells nice!
I'm using a razor my son left when he was visiting. It was 2 years ago and I've never even had to change the blade. Hint: Dry your blade after each use and they'll last longer
Where did you get the bins with dividers?
Candice, may I ask what your skin routine is and what foundation you use? Thanks for any info.
Feel better soon. :-)

Harry’s razors are wonderful and much cheaper
Too sharp according to the men in my life
what to replace the toilet cover with? No buys here and i shut the lid
Toilet covers?! 🤢🤢🤢🤢
My hair dresser told me to just use shampoo you don’t like as hand soap.
