      I have the S18 it's a relatively light wheel and a great climber over rough ground. I have just ordered the Master, more power and torque than the S18 for sure, but a heavy wheel with high footplates. Of course its going to be easier on the S18, like a mini is easier to drive than a ferrari, doesn't mean it's better exactly - maybe it is :-)

    Higher voltage wheels. It takes a certain power to ride at a certain speed. All things being equal this means the voltage is irrelevant. W=VI. That is for the required power if the voltage is less the current will be higher. So why higher voltage wheels? well I=V/R therefore for a given resistance (impedance if you like) a higher voltage has the potential to deliver more current. Higher voltage and more current, more power (W=VI) again. To deliver more power means potentially more speed and torque depending on how the motor is wired. The down side of these higher voltages, well it stresses the control board more, so components with have to be spec'ed for the higher voltage, and the potential to deliver more current needs consideration as well. Higher voltages can lead to higher spikes which is a Mosfet failure mode dV/dt, something else that will have to be considered in the design. For a given capacity of battery (Whr), how they are wired will impact on how much current they can deliver. Two 4.2V cells in series, would be 8.4V with a maximum discharge rate of say 10A. Two 4.2V cell in parallel would be still be 4.2V but now the maximum discharge capacity is 20A. Since W=VI the same power can be drawn from either configuration and the capacity of those batteries would be the same. The difference, the 8.4V will more readily supply a load if demanded, even though its ability to supply the current is half of the other configuration. That is to say it is easier for the controller board to demand current from the 8.4V battery than the 4.2V one.
    Suspension, I have the S18 and I love it. I also ride a 16X and although these are similar machines in many ways (the 16X has more range and torque), the S18 on rough ground, bumps and drops cannot be beaten. It is also safer if you encounter unexpected pot holes, ruts in the road.
    I have just ordered the Master, we shall see :-) Your review seems to centre on off road riding (part of the reason the S18 did so well - off road favours lighter machines), I intend to use the master on the street. Bottoming the suspension is less of a concern if you are not riding knarly tracks, or taking it down stairs. Further I think the Begode has rebound adjustment now, and given a suitable pump you are able to raise the shock pressure to around 300psi.
    Your torque test. Climbing on the S18 is easier and the suspension on soft ground offers better traction than on the 16X, but that's a little misleading. With pads the 16X is far more capable (power and torque) and the S18 is in danger of being over powered . I have found the motor on the S18 feels, sounds, a bit like a coffee grinder near the limit.
    Not pedals, foot plates. You can't pedal an EUC :-)
    Good video - only a personal opinion not everyone agrees :-)

    There is something called a "progressive coil spring" (Cars already have them) that instead of a linear hardness give you a square hardness. Thus, when going over small bumps i compresses easy but if you land hard then it gets harder and harder until it get to a very hard spring.

    I agree the stock Master shock is a bottoming out piece of crap. But some pump it up to 400+ psi and claim to be able to live with it. I replaced mine with Fox Float X. It was a painful process, but result is good. Not Perfect. Still not as good as my stock s18 on bumps. I posted 2 videos with details. Kuba looks like a better Master upgrade solution. It changes the shock geometry and that kit should bolt in easy. I would love if you posted more videos on the S22 with air shocks! I have a S18 and have put a few hundred miles on my new S22, love both wheels, both are good for different reasons, but love the S18 for its plush suspension and the S22 for its hardcore heavy hitting suspension for large jumps and drops, something in the middle would be my preference and you can adjust the sliders on the S22 if you think the suspension is too stiff so there are options which a lot of people don’t know about

    Just in case, I will mention that I have been driving EUCs every day since 2014 and have driven almost every EUC issued. If the calibration is not completely vertical to the side, this is exactly what happens!!! My Master does not lower the pedals even a gram! The latest to be thoroughly tested are Kingsong S22 and Begode Master. The Gotway/Begode only delivers full power to the rider who dares to climb/lean it hard! This gives the less daring driver the misleading impression that there is not enough power! If you tilt the KS22 too far, it just growls and shuts down completely! Begode Master is only suitable for serious riders :) . Others don't feel its full force because they don't have the courage to push. Acceleration from zero to 80 km/h in 2.5 seconds, tested by very brave guys at Master. KS S22 is not even close :( . Sorry! Couldn't leave it out! Of course to each their own best EUC. Good luck to everyone anyway! :)

    • @ekolkacz
      @ekolkacz  2 года назад +1

      Sorry but riding since 2014 means nothing :) we saw a lot of people that had ridden thousands km on EUC and could not run it well. Second Master was dipping at this slope already so the rider could not harder lean on it. Third acceleration for 2.5 seconds is for people tat does not understand how EUC is working, so they can do whatever they want :) we are speaking about safety first, anyone can lean and cut off the device you do need any skill for it, but it is just no brainer :)
