With the world getting smaller and more turbulent, the time couldn’t be more appropriate for an iconic British satirical take on global events. One sketch in the 80's they did when Margaret Thatcher was PM was of her ordering dinner whilst at a cabinet meeting and the waiter asked, "..and the vegetables?" to which she replied, "Oh, they'll have the same!" Priceless comedy.

I remember the original series as well. The Chicken Song, Thatcher ordering food and telling the waiter "Oh, the vegetables! (Referring to the cabinet ministers) They'll have the same", The Presidents brain is missing. All of them were very close to the mark. I think it was popular back then as it is becoming popular now to watch as it basically shows what a lot of us were already thinking anyway. At one point it switched to a different channel. I think it was channel 4 or ITV as I remember seeing adverts in-between after a couple of years.
When I first saw this video I thought it was a spoof of trailers for theatrical shows.
It was only when I got an email from The Rep mailing list I realised it was an actual show...
