Why do I sense the rudeness of the interviewer? It is almost uncomfortably embarrassing. Mr Ishiguro is trying hard to be patient here.

Charlie Rose is disgustingly condescending
he certainly wears his confidence, but him being meek would make for a terrible interview. Personally, I'd rather the interviewer be belligerent with his opinions so that the person he's interviewing isn't left high and dry trying to sculpt something out of vague questions about "writing". At least he has something to sink his teeth into here.
