My dear, I live in Europe and we go partying in sneakers. Kenyans are a free people . No time to live to impress others
I wonder what is wrong with going to party with sneakers!?
@J.J kitchen's nothing wrong, it's just where she is coming from is not common.
I am a Kenyan living in Nigeria and I find going out depressing bcoz it's more of how you look than the comfort and fun. Kenyan's priorities are comfort and fun, what pple think is irrelevant.
Well you chose to marry a Nigerian. No one is going to listen to your tales or tears
I remember the first time I saw Nairobi I decided to buy a home it took me a long time but finally did it I'm a very happy my favorite city
Am happy my country Kenya is treating you well ☺.
thank you for sharing, very insightful! I'm visiting Kenya next month for the first time and will be vlogging it on my channel can't wait to explore!!
You’ll really have the best time. I hope you love it. 🤍
Talking of cold, if you haven't been in Kenya in the months of June, July and August. Then u haven't experienced any substantial cold yet. If still around that tym prepare for real cold.
Spices usually distort the original/natural taste of foods.
Kenyans love natural foods, vegetables, fruits etc..... And therefore spices are not as extensively used in Kenya as compared to Nigeria.
Interesting!
Oh really but you can use organic spice like ginger, garlic lots of onions, paprika etc😂like organic ones cos I actually love my spice my organic spice especially for my meats but I love Kenya and will like to live there for a while one day
That's not true, at the coast they do use lots of spices in their food.
@@nashrahmohamed6489 mostly when cooking indian cuisine, spices are used to disguise a bad cook
@@ValerieEgbuniwe1 congratulations dear
I visited Nairobi last week and all the things tou mentioned, I equally observed. The weather????!!! Mehn! No one told me what to expect I was freezing, I didn’t go with a single sweat jacket. I hope to visit Nairobi again, and stay longer.
Does that show your lack of preparedness? Why would you travel outside your country to a foreign country without researching an essential travel guide as local weather? I also ask, why do people carry these smart phones and still be deficient in basic information as weather conditions?
@@stanleyglover5534 Arrogance detected u can still be polite in ur response

Great , Stanley won’t be travelling to Alaska or the Tundra and pack American urban summer clothes . I have smart phone ☎️
The other thing you forgot, Most Kenyan women don't wear mark up. Naturally beautiful and simple.
Even without makeup, she's very beautiful
We wear very minimal make up and fake hair
just average !!@@cletus126
Yea. No make ups
@@ewm4266 Is that due to lack of access of good makeup?
Your skin is glowing!!
As in ehhh 😊
Thank you 🙈😊
5:10 You're so real for this❤
and when you said you're coming with top tier content this year, you did not lie. your videos are visually appealing!! Love it
Thank you so much!!
You are so articulate in your explanation really enjoyed watching your video,
I love the scenery you talked about because the view is beautiful ❤❤❤. Omo what is life without a bit of spicy food Abeg😋😋😋😋
You are everywhere
Exactly!!
I think ever food has specific taste without pepper 🌶️😅
There’s spicy. We have a huge Indian population. Majority don’t cook very spicy food in Nairobi but they do at the Coast.
With all the maandamanos happening in Nairobi at the moment, don't mind them, we are used to the teargas every 5 years. Anyway Nairobi is fabulous
The reason for so much "British influence", is that Kenya, alongside South Africa and Zimbabwe were settler colonies. Nigeria was majorly a protectorate. Africans for instance, were not allowed to live in Nairobi, unless if working for the settlers or the government institutions. You can even tell Kenyans who went to public schools that were traditionally white only by some little ideological, social differences, and even their accent. Settler colonies tend to have better ranked cricket and rugby teams, as well as that they mostly got independence by violence.
Your makeup is flawless, yet you don’t look like you have put any. Love it!
What a clever way to promote your makeup regimen products while giving us Kenya living insights! 😂
Yes, Kenya and especially Nairobi has some of the striking culture shocks to most foreigners but generally, we tend to formalize some of them into national ethos and way of life.
*The "wintry and chilly" Nairobi weather is a smack contrast with Kenya's tropical geolocation. As such, seasonal clothing to suit either rainy, hot or chilly weathers is a big thing unlike in most tropics where weather is predictably hot or warm.
* Tea culture borrowed from the British and blended with African hospitality is so engrained that a visitor won't go without a welcome hot cup of tea.
Our social life revolves around tea drinking and every social or corporate meetup will incorporate tea time in the program no matter what.
* Eco consciousness and environmental conservation is highly regarded. Right from schools, students are enlisted in environmental clubs and they grow up with it. Look at Kenya's successful wildlife conservation which is key to the tourism economy.
Youre such a vibe we need to hang out
We prefer natural spices like ginger coriander and garlic. Chili is a no for me.
snickers may also be due to cold weather in Nairobi
I really love this episode!!!! Very detailed!. Well done valeri!
Yes, Nairobi is beautiful

Something about you, that’s giving Kenyan. I think your energy is.
her forehead is very much kenyan too. haha. Her entire face somehow
Nigeria driving on the right side is not copying america. It’s because despite nigeria and ghana being english colonies, they were surrounded by french colonies which were right side driving so Nigeria and Ghana had to comply for easier trade and movement with their francophone neighbours
thank you for sharing this! However, it's important to note that being influenced and copying do not mean the same thing.
I've enjoyed watching this! thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
The thing about Kenya is they r not a 'flashy' ppl..So,the type of car they drive has nothing to do with the kind of money they have or taxes they pay..Ul get a millionaire in Kenya driving a simple Toyota and nobody bats an eye..Its just their way of life..
Love your content 😊
Thank you! 😁
Welcome to my country 🥰
I love you girl... and your skin is 🔥

Your skin!!😍

Some Music is considered timeless:) does music get old in Nigeria?
Girl, you should be the kenyan ambassador or something 😂😂😂,you make me love my country.Thank you Valerie.
Omg 😂😂😂
You look beautiful
You go the coast and have those Hot chilly because we are mix of culture out here in MOMBASA RAHAAAA
😂😂 Some of us admire that heel aesthetic but have to think long and hard before wearing them.
I like heels but they don't like me. I own more heels than any other type of shoe and I hardly wear them.
You're gorgeous
You are beautiful 😍
Thank you!!
Great video, please what's the name of the blush you used.
I checked the description box and viewed the amazon link, didn't find the product details.
it's the Fenty Beauty cream blush in crush on cupid
The choice to drive on the right side of the road is from French West Africa. Most countries in West Africa were colonized by the French. For regional uniformity, all countries from a particular region have to drive on one side of the road
Man, we men are lucky. I just apply Vaseline (Not the fancy expensive kind) and girls are like, "Your skin looks so cool and smooth,, what product do you use?" I end up telling them I just drink lots of water cause I don't have a better answer.
I wish I could like this twice
You don't sound Nigerian 😊 nice content
Sis, kenyans did not own their country till 1963. THey were natives in a country with british at the top, indians then blacks. it was a settler colony and only zimbabwe and south africa were created likewise. The british foot on kenya is still very visible and we have many britons today who were actually born in kenya . it was THEIR country till kenyans fought to take it back. big difference with nigeria.
Majorly wrong. Inasmuch as the country was under the British Crown, the nation was segmented with places owned by natives, European settlers and Asians.
Nice points you raised. I feel like this video could have been better if you wrote down your points and elaborate on them instead of being off the top and not a make up video. As a man I had to forward most of it because I'm not interested in make up. However I have subscribed because you have enlightened me about a foreigners perspective in kenya.
Anyone who chooses to leave his or her own country, to go to another, and the whines about anything when he or she gets there, does not deserve sympathy. The person could have stayed in his or her country
The 1st Nigerian girl that I've fallen in love with ❤
We are not a cold country. You just saw Nairobi
I’ve been to the coast too, so I know this 😊
kenyans are very competitive welcome!!
Watu wanapenda Kenya lately. Mbona ? Tupendane pia 😂😂
Yes Kenyans use spices just not as heavily as Nigerians.
Good content kindly settle in kenya
The reason Nigeria drives on the right is because all the neighbours are French, and so Nigeria had to switch over in order to adapt.
❤❤❤

Sweet ❤ i really like you you are very beautiful
You are so kind
Is the video meant for women to see or you are selling some products to The pple
You're beautiful

Makeup show. Show Kenya. BTW too much red on cheeks.
Super content but honestly I felt a little bit out of place watching you doing those make up, sigh!..
Except your accent you look Kenyan
Hello I am a Kenyan but I am in love with you, can we connect???
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Our traitor sisters have started this trend of putting Nigeria down for all the small countries in Africa like Ghana, Kenya and others. Kenya is a tiny country where Nigeria is. What is Kenya? Please...
You think kenya is a small country ?😂😂
@@gatwirinikita2199 Compared with Nigeria. No fighting. Just expressing my feeling.
Thank you.
@@youme1414stop that nonsense. I’m Nigerian but I’d advise you to go and visit Kenya. Nigeria has a long way to go despite its size. I’ve always see u on videos where Nigeria is being critiqued. This is the only way the country will improve
@@adamsc9049 You are talking nonsense, sir.
You are living in a bubble.. Every child thinks their mama is the best cook, until the time they venture outside then they realise ,"oh my!" there are other mothers who are better cooks... Get off your "Giant of Africa bubble " its just a phrase..East African Countries with the fastest growing economies in Africa are quietly, quietly and quietly developing there countries without flossing..
