Hello Joe...as a long time fan and user of Wetterlings axes am I right in assuming that the the eye on this Longhunter Axe is the same size as the end of a Wetterlings Les Stroud Bushman Axe (I have one of those and the eye is quite small, more like that which would fit a hammer). I think you have a great product there, Best Wishes, WS
I like it. I would also like to see their 1.5lb head on that Les Stroud 22" handle. I did a side by side video of Wetterings and Gransfors 25" forest axes 5yrs ago. Wetterlings is the better axe in my opinion. I sold both of my Gransfors 5yrs ago.
I really like that design. I've been looking for a good woods axe to carry. I was leaning towards a GB but I like this design better. I might just have to wait and see if I can get my hands on one when they hit the market.
I thought Wetterlings was bought out by Granfurs Bruks and no longer producing axes under the Wetterlings name. If Wetterlings is still in business, that's great news.
I thought they don't make wetterlings axes anymore. They only make Gransfors bruks, hultafors, hults bruks, and husqvarna axes now. All owned by same company.
@@LivingtoLearn how did you get permission to use the name? Wetterlings used to make Gransfors axes. But they wanted to get monopoly on the swedish axe market. I bought all the Husqvarna axes, forest, carpenter, camp hatchet and hatchet for the same price as the small forest axe. And all have better handles. Perfect grain orientation. Unlike Gransfors bruks.
