One of Daniel's best songs ever. If you are reading this Daniel, never stop doing what you are doing man. You are an artist, and you have made some incredibly beautiful things that you should absolutely be proud of. It reminds me of memories preserved in crystal. Fucking astonishing.
maybe he read the comment... those memories preserved in a crystal were actually exposed in his Uncut Gem's Soundtrack (?)
@@Cretaker OPN's music makes me feel like KG staring into the Opal, for real for real.
Second that 🌀☄️
remember when this came out, i was in highschool and didnt go to school that day, I went with my dad as we drove around northeast ohio on an amazing autumn day, seeing the hills and smelling the fresh air reminds me of this song and the song reminds me of that day.
that sounds like such a great memory

I think I need to make a new genre playlist just for this track.
HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
Whats the genre?
Where can we start?
File under ' Warped'
.. i getL acid cat synth.. or thats the words that come to mind.. just doesnt sound right tho..
It's mostly Utopian Virtual
Well, I did some research for R+7 and this is a little of what OPN mentioned as his inspiration (not for this track in particular but for an album):
Geinoh Yamashirogumi - Ecophony Rinne
Yasuaki Shimizu - Music for Commercials
So I was right feeling Japanese roots inside it :) I wonder how much left is there to explore inside R+7 world ...
i know im late but this is the most reddit ass comment i have read this week lmao
@@gooch2215 god forbid people show sincere enthusiasm
I'm very late but r+7 always reminded me of ghibli movies
@@gooch2215 I know im late but what was the point of commenting that if nobody asked
@@gooch2215 fuck right off and let people enjoy things
Snooker legend Steve Davis sums him up perfectly. He's like Stravinsky - he packs more ideas into 30 seconds than most artist manage in a whole album.
1:46 that deep house synth bass tho 👌🏻
I reckon you should should listen to this whilst up in the clouds on a plane ✈ awesome experience! 😊
One of the most joyous songs I’ve ever heard. One of my favourites.
one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in the last 10 years.
ragnare You dont listen to much music huh?
"his music taste is different from mine so lets belittle him and tell him condescending things"
CDRIIVE Visuals You dont listen to much music either huh?
***** give us some examples chump, i'd be interested in seeing how much of a pleb you are
It's not about WHO you listen to you f*ckin plen.
love all the movement in opn songs, feels like a collage
Sounds like I'm in another dimension. I'm not on this planet anymore. Imagine tripping balls to this track - I can't even imagine how good that must feel.
Its amazing ; )
I listened to this Album for the first time On 400ug of LSD and was blown the fuck away.
OPN is amazing to listen to on dissociatives, like mxe, or memantine. Like, there is literally no other way to describe it. You discover another side to the beauty, and it's just...
Honestly, I have no words.
XxBananaPhone14xX I did PCP the other night and this song made me tweak out and try to jump out of my friend's car. also when i finally came down I thought that I had switched realitys. I thought there were two running segments of life and I felt like I flopped from one to the other. I've never had an experience like that..... but yeah drugs and sounds are fun together.
what a dumbass. enjoy that pcp lmao
i am tripping balls rn
Such a stunning track. The chord progression at 1:10 and the (almost toy-like) electric piano at 1:29 never fail to give me goosebumps.
witnessing the beginning of the future of music
The most progressive track I've ever heard.
I think something's wrong with my computer. It keeps skipping. Damn, I really wanted to listen to it. :(
Wow, lots of textures here. This track sold me, buying off Amazon.
I think something's wrong with my computer. It keeps skipping. Damn, I really wanted to listen to it. :( Long live Patrick Topping!
that time i forgot who i was
The beginning sounds like an audio representation of zebra stripes.
i could listen to that ending for hours
This is probably my favourite OPN LP to date. Everything is so lush and sparkling and yet undeniably disturbing.
I knew he was onto something with Eccojams...
had sleep paralysis to this song once
4:38 to the end has my heart
One of the best songs I heard in a while (and I do hear a lot). Getting all sort of vibes, BoC but also Lone (last parts).
I love this song so much
Wow. At 6:59, unexpected. I snuggled up and dug in.
Speaking of Japan, this album has like two sections at Tower Records Shibuya. The Japanese influence is very true.
absolute perfection
I love your music! Its so interesting! There are so many sounds and details. I can see many beautiful things when I listen
It's like I Am Robot And Proud, but with more robot and less proud.
Great song - looking forward to the album
One of my favorite songs
I needed this, thank you.
2:18 the synth came with an uzi clip. Not sure why 🤷♂️.
We need a track by track for this album because i am really curious of knowing where does Daniel got the inspiration from. This is making music in a very unique way.
chill as hell
it kicked me out for saying "your music dope as heck"
can't believe this is ten years old now!
This is amazing and really captivating
There are like three images that popped in my mind when I heard this. The first one was large crowds of people on city streets like Tokyo or New York going to work, sort of a capitalist vibe. The second image was just like a cosmic sort of dreamscape where you're just drifting out in endless fog. The last one is like waking up in a new day with a glitchy 80s/90s news broadcast in the background.
"take it easy, nasgoat2345; we're all in this together."
-Charles Dickens, A Tale Of Two Cities

Great work!
Amazing... So good
Fantastic stuff.
Masterpiece. I also would love to see OPN make a soundtrack for a psychological horror (besides Uncut Gems)
That's great music!
How could anyone dislike this?!
Yep still amazing
Oh mY!!!! HoLy CraPtaSTic JebUS On a SticK!
first time i have like immediately wanted to dance to a Oneohtrix song
I think something's wrong with my computer. It keeps skipping. Damn, I really wanted to listen to it. :(
Roland Who Has a Beard no. That’s how the song sounds.
@@SlyHikari03 nah bro you probably have same issues. The songs is okay tho I think it misses some glitchy syncopation, thinking of remixing it
Low key laugh.
im a bit late but i finally became a fan of oneohtrix point never
My brain just warped to another dimension.
That Oval - Do While recontextualization at the end manages to be even better than the original (at least for me)
Pitch shifting a song into a different melody, that, originally pitch shifts a song into a different melody
My bad it actually samples Many Chinas
??????
@@youtubeisevilAs does Do While. It's an intentional oval reference I believe
Awesome!
this is sensational
0:32 that surreal chorus tho
Awesome
this album has changed me...
mind blowing!!!!!1
OPN rules the world.
The first part sounds like the 3 first notes from Loud Places by Jamie xx thats funny
2:18 sounds like when you accidentally bite your tongue while you're eating to me.
awesome progression
Awesome profile pic of an awesome prog album.
Oh, and the Oneohtrix track is pretty cool too

HOW DO YOU DO THAT GLITCHING THING THAT STARTS AT 2:19!??
you repeat fragments really fast and slow them down continuously, and also you need to be talented.
+Sajon I figured it out a couple weeks ago and that also got me into granular synths and stuff but thanks anyway

It is interesting how the contemporary mind uses appropriation as a role, and by the end it is a nice mixture, but just check the melody they took from: "Olive - You 're Not Alone"
I hear some similarities to this and clams casino or gigi masin!
