How do you navigate grazing areas with minimal water spots? Create virtual alleyways?

Currently in the dormant season we are stretching the paddocks longer so they have access back to water through previous grazed paddocks. Summer grazing we have portable water tanks that we can place about every 250 feet along the interior fences. So no lanes really necessary.

Is your virtual pasture controlled by the necklace that most of your cattle are wearing? What type of virtual pasture control? Can you explain how it works and costs associated with same?

Yes the collar is part of the virtual fence. All the beef are wearing them besides the calves. We are using the Gallagher eShepherd system. There is a tiered price system but to give you an example it’s about $250 per collar, along with a $2 per month per collar fee.
Very simple to operate and you can schedule moves for days in advance. All done with a computer and app on your phone.

@ thank you for your response, since my first comment I’ve been going back to your previous posts. It is a very interesting topic and I will be looking into it further. Thanks again!
