Intro explained: Walter and Tallulah loved going to the grocery store together, and they enjoyed lovely sunny walks in the outdoors. Sadly though, Walter now has to do these things alone, but deep within, he still always feels the presence of Tallulah and she is never far away.
what are the mods called for the sprites please?
I think the no mining time lapses would be good for the Walter run. Walter was a miner after all, could be a good time to add more flare and cannon to him backstory with some tales of what he did before.
I think for the mine runs it would be cool to have the timelapses but maybe come back to your pov more often for reactions to cool stuff. That way we get the best of both worlds! Either way I still love this series. Keep up the amazing work!!!
I completely agree! I think this is a great compromise between the 2.
Yes I like timelapses when they’re used to tell a story, not so much when they’re speeding over downtime- that’s what cuts are for I think lol

I like the time lapses, but I can see where it might advance the story a little more by taking them out. Maybe a combination? Do a little time lapse if nothing interesting happens, but come back to Walter more often? No matter what, though, I love your content. Thanks for keeping these going!

some of the previous episodes i honestly skipped through the timelapse mining because it didn't feel as engaging. i think your series with walter is SO UNIQUE and to put it bluntly, i could watch a thousand other videos of grinding/timelapse mining... but i don't want to! thanks for considering all of the perspectives on this. no matter what you choose, i'm going to keep watching walter's new stardew valley journey

About Elliotts portrait, canonically he is considered an older bachelor (just like Shane and Harvey). There's even a secret note about it! (Number 7 I think) So him looking older in his original portrait is on purpose
hes definitely older, which is why hes always been so creepy to me. like that 40 year old artsy type hitting on 18 year olds.
Yeah, I'm very confused about people thinking he's in his 20s. He doesn't give off that at all, so his portrait change here actually looks weird and makes him look like a teen or something when he's obviously a lot older.
yeah he's definitely older than like alex or seb- at least 27 in my head tbh. also I have never appreciated the lack of his earing give it back

@@Aqualightnin I suppose that makes sense. I tend to gravitate to Elliot or Harvey because it feels way too weird to chat up people complaining about homework, their parents, their college hopes, etc. when I'm in my 30's. Even just as friends the majority of the single options seem way too young.
I have to confess, I love your videos but I don't like your music 😂 so I am definitely team no timelapse! I just fast-forward through them when they happen. Loveeee this series!
I feel the same way, I usually just mute the video until the time lapse is over, I honestly don't see how he gets away with not getting copywrited honestly, everything else about the videos is great though 🙂

While I appreciate all the additional work that you do for the time-lapse mine runs, and that you use it for narrative purposes, I actually skip the them. 😅 I think I would enjoy them more if you came back in more frequently, because, while I'm here for Walter's story, I'm more here to hear you tell it. ❤

Yes, slow down the mine bits. I learn so much from watching other people playing the game.
I remember you mentioned, in a previous video, that you wished your chickens would eat more of the blue grass to get their friendship up faster. What I did on my Meadowlands Farm to encourage this was: 1) extend the fenced area south by 2 squares to give the grass more room to grow and 2) cut as much of the green grass without touching the blue grass so the blue grass fills up the chicken yard.
It's worked great for me! And most of my farm now has blue grass and I'm only in the first week of Summer.
I did the same! It was such a game changer when I unlocked pigs
Suggestion: place torches on top of youre sprinklers to light up youre farming area

I'm on team "No Timelapse". The speed doesn't bother me, but I definitely miss your commentary during those.
If you do fishing, use the fish smoker. It'll not only keep the rarities BUT pays you more
Yeah if you have the coal. I needed so much for jars early game that I just sold it without smoking until year 2

I like the time lapse mines with highlights. It's feels more like a story without including too much grinding.

Personally I don't like the time lapse mines. It takes me out of the video and I'd like to know what you are doing and why.
I agree about the time lapses, not my favorite. Particularly with the Non-stardew music over it. It just doesn't feel cozy to me
I do prefer to keep this series mostly vanilla. Some visual mods are ok, and gaining energy when resting is ok too. But hopefully not too many mods. As a console player I just love SDV as it is.
I think it would be really cute if Walter always wore his wellies on rainy days (except while he’s in the mines bc he needs defense)
maybe cut the mines up a bit, get the iterestin bits, but yeh remove the timellapses
so, i've engaged in almost every minute of Argon Matrix's dungeon crawls ... and became one of his youtube mods! the long time is made entertaining by the interesting discussion he engages with chat and the stuff we in chat talk about amongst ourselves ... the nature of a livestream in real time.
and one thing i really love about sharkey's videos (beyond the engaging play style and delightful accent) is the timelapse with the fun music. viewers aren't really missing much because you always slow back down again if you have anything important to say! plus it has to be exhausting to keep talking to the ether -- so in the end, it's more about your energy levels and making yourself the best you can be.

Yeah, Lewis and Shane both love hot pepper. I like to gift it to them because you can get those in plenty amounts

Thank you for the work that you do. This series is amazing and intros to the episodes are deeply touching! It’s incredible how you can turn Stardew Valley, no doubt a great game, into such a fantastic storytelling medium!
Personally, I don’t care about timelapses because you obviously can maintain the atmosphere in any format. However, a little tip, chocolate cake you got in this episode is actually Evelyn’s loved gift.
I agree Willie there sure looks a lot like Robin Williams, I was thinking a lot like how he looked in Good Will Hunting. I like this quote from him (which one of the restaurants in my town has on the outside so I see it everyday): 'Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.'

As for the time-lapses, I think fewer and shorter would be great. If I'm completely honest, they make me a bit motion sick.

I love watching your videos and I’m so grateful for your content however I really hate your music choices immensely and often mute the videos or fast-forward through them anyway just to not hear it. I think it’s because the music is so loud compared to your voice and that type of music just is not for me, but I will support the channel no matter what and I’m just appreciative of all the hard work you do

seeing the gameplay with you is fun, do a mix! time-lapse now and then, and bring us with you at normal speed now and then too! just feel it out. i agree time-lapse gets me to tab away pretty quick and just come back when i hear you talking about what you got. changing floors at super speed gets a bit flashier than i like.

Serious you have one stair now if you get Three or four hearts with Luis to get to go to his room place the stair on his bedroom floor it'll take you to his basement where he has a second pare of the same shorts you and your viewers will get a kick out of what happens when you pick up said shorts it's funny

I love both the time-lapses and when you take us along. I think it should be depending on what else is going on during the episode. You do an amazing job. Trust your instincts.
I really enjoyed this mine run! The earlier ones was heavy on my eyes with the blinking light (from quickly going in and out of the mine entrance), so I had to look away. (Migraines makes sensitive eyes)
Been watching your 1.6 LP waiting for it to come to switch! So excited👹I like some time lapse but not for as long as they are rn, maybe record the whole mining sesh, make some notes on cool things you find and cut the time lapse based on that?

Another option if you keep the time lapses, if you're mining all day we end up losing a day. So if there is a full day timelapse, maybe play an extra day for more story?
I like the time lapse, but I'm not adverse to you pausing it with commentary when something interesting happens.
Loving this series; it's so cozy and relaxing to watch Walter make a life on his new farm. I think personally I prefer no timelapses, because it's fun to see Walter doing his thing as a miner. It feels more authentic to his character, and I enjoy just seeing things progress in normal time. To me it doesn't feel grindy cause of the highly enjoyable commentary you always provide. I think a lot of the game is actually lost when there are Timelapse’s. It’s nice to see what happens in real time, plus it’s more relaxing x
Walter should get a phone to check the saloon's special. Sometimes you get awesome food for cheap

In the vanilla game, (I play on mobile for now) I actually caught Lewis in Marnie’s bedroom rummaging through her drawers. 🤭
Ever notice during that summer tidal event, that the sea turns green? Just like the green rain.
I mainly use the slingshot with explosive ammo; generally for mining and finishing off mummies.
I usually use speed grow on the melons, a gold level melon also gets perfection for the soup.
Little tip get a coop full of bunnies to farm rabbits foot for a loved gift for any npc
except penny! LOL!

Elliott is definitely one of the bachelors that's probably in his 30's. He's definitely not one of the youngsters, he's had a little more time to marinate in the flavors of life. I would imagine the age of the bachelors from youngest to oldest goes like this:
Sam -> Alex -> Sebastian -> Shane -> Elliott -> Harvey.
That's my guess, so yeah, Elliott would be up there for the ladies that prefer a more mature man. ❤ ...I know I do. ❤

Regarding the mods, I like the new sprite of tools and crops, but not feeling the new sprite of the NPCs, I think Alex's new sprite looks really creepy XD but Granny Evelyn does look lovely!
I love the intros that you're doing. They are amazing! I agree with the comment about the time lapse, but I think the highlights when you get a good floor and such would be a fun addition to the videos if you incorporate both time lapse and mining highlights!
re: the timelapses, i do skip them but only when you play country music LOL sorry, it's not my fave genre a;sdk i don't mind them when you play music other than that, tho! but you do whatever you wanna do, sharky, you're still one of my fave stardew creators to watch. also, question... what are you using for your resource/forage/other stuff sprites?? i have looked nexus up and down and i cannot find them ANYWHERE and i want them so bad!!

I know this is an old video and you’ve probably already made all the decisions about the Timelapses in the video. However, I just want to say as a person who is hard of hearing, video that don’t switch back and forth between music and commentary are much easier for me to hear.
And yet another great episode, so wonderful to watch and no time lapses feels right in this playthrough. Loved the intro, so lovely!! For the portraits my favorites are Sebastian and Penny. And for next episode I'd love to see you upgrading your axe to get closer to entering the forest and some gold to get ready for the quality sprinklers for autum. Hey, I think I might’ve found a 1.6 glitch, has anyone else gone to the Quarry mine and found that it has a mine cart that leads you too a new stair? And if you go down that stair is brings you to floor 77258 of the Skull Cavern literally filled with iridium ore? I am currently on Fri 12 of Spring in year 2 on the file I found this on. I’m literally so confused right now because I googled it no one else seems to have found this, maybe my files just gilitched

You know if you changed the colors of Willie's hat and jacket he would really look like Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting. Specifically the scene where he's sitting on the bench talking to Matt Damon's character (Will). A bit of a pallete change and it would be quite spot on actually.

I love the mining timelapses but I also see where the commenter is coming from. Maybe a mixture of both, whatever works for the episode length, would be a good compromise? :))
Honestly, you should do the same thing you do for fishing, for the mines. A speedrun while showcasing the good stuff❤. I personally love those playthroughs
I think you should definitely get rid of the timelapses, they’re extremely boring to watch. I’d rather you just eliminate them altogether and cut to parts that are interesting instead!
ETA: what you did this episode in the mines was much better! A lot more engaging and fun to watch
If you dont create timelapses it might be possible to create timestamps to jump in the video. I get bored from fishing all day, so it might be usefull having the possibility to get past it.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this or not but the hot pepper is a good gift for Shane, and one is usually requested by George. Melons are a good gift for Demetrius and he also usually requests one as a gift. And no you’re not alone in thinking Willy looks like Robin Williams I’ve been wondered if that’s where he got the name for him.
I agree that I don't like the time lapse mining. Also a suggestion, maybe you would want to remove the sprites mod in winter because there are new winter outfit sprites added for the NPCs in winter, and maybe you would like to see the new content in vanilla. ❤
What mod are you using for the ores & crops? I may have missed you saying. I was using the "Better" mods but they haven't been updated as far as I can tell.

I started watching this series because of your commentary and Walter's story. The music videos are a nice touch, but I skip the time lapses most of the time because they're just not fun to watch.
