My issue isn't that it might be Zamperla. My issue is that Cedar Fair (Six Flags?) is doing what Paramount Parks always did in going with the cheapest thing possible.
TT2 was definitely not cheap as well as it's pretty common knowledge that it's a better overall ride than its predecessor. I was much more worried it was going to be Premiere tbh.
Funny enough, CF is basically being run by Paramount execs. Richard Zimmerman (CEO) was GM of Kings Dominion under Paramount and Tim Fisher (COO) was GM of Kings Island under Paramount.
Oh its gotta be Zamperla. CW has the highest seasonal attendance in NA, its always been Cedar Fair's Proving Grounds for that reason. Think Guardian being the first (and now only) Triotech Dark Ride. Leviathan being B&M's first Giga. It makes sense then that they'll use this to see what Zamperla can do from the ground-up. Likely way cheaper than Intamin and if they can produce something that is close to the level of Velocicoaster my expectation is that we'll be seeing alot more Zamplera in the future. I'm game for it. TT2 looks sick. Lightning trains look sick. Multi-Launch layouts look sick. Lets get it.
Honestly, I don't mind! Top thrill 2 I'd waaaaay better than the original and the trains feel just like intamins new trains. If it's not intamin, zamperla absolutely is the 2nd best option. Still super excited for the new coaster :)
The percentages guessed on this channel have changed and swung often, why is everyone taking it as a sure thing? It might turn out to be Zamperla but a couple of weeks ago it sounded like Intamin was close to a sure thing. Regardless of the manufacturer it will likely still be one of CW's best coasters. Having said that, I don't get the love for Zamperla regarding TT2. They didn't change the layout at all apart from the spike. What wonderland really needs especially considering the supposed path of this upcoming coaster is a great layout, something Zamperla hasn't been known for. Can that change? Sure, and having the new lightning model is encouraging but it's far from a sure thing compared to some other manufacturers.
No one knows, the intros feel like a waste of time where viewership is lost because they're wasting the most important part of the video where you want to hold a viewer's attention with cheesy animations that add little if anything at all to the video
Top Thrill 2 is closed at the moment, i think Cedar Fair has to much faith in Zamperla as the new 2025 coaster could be a mechanical nightmare for the park.
I don't think this will be that much of a mechanical nightmare for the park, because right now, top thrill 2 is closed because that is a test coaster, they are closing it to perfect the ride system so the park doesn't have future complications. In my opinion, i think zamperla will do a great job with this coaster.
Eh. Was hoping for an Intamin but it’s not too big of a deal especially when being reminded that most of Zamperla’s team came from Intamin. I had the tiniest feeling it would come to this though and that’s why I didn’t get my hopes up. Regardless, I still think this coaster will be good.
Lastly, just because you have another company's defectors, this certainly does not make you the best in the business. In addition, you needed to crest the 100mph mark to impress anyone in Canada and I just don't see that happening with this ride anymore and that's very sad. Should have stuck with the winged coaster if you were going to make a mockery of this CW! So let me get this straight ... a winged coaster in 2030 and an over 400 or over 100 mph in 2035. They must be using the Wal-Mart model thinking all Canadians are suckers.
Zamperla? That must be why three of the cars are missing from Time Warp, they're the basis of Project 2025. Heck, they'll probably connect them to put the warp in Time Warp, saves on station building costs.

It's shaping up to be a good ride regardless but it's the optics for me. I think if Cedar Fair were to put in an Intamin it would show that CW is on par with, and taken as seriously as, the other flagship parks - Carrowinds, Kings Island, Cedar Point etc. This would give Wonderland at least that one "I have to go there and ride it coaster" which other parks in the chain have. As it's probably going to be Zamperla, I feel the optics once again sent to Wonderland patrons is that the minimum is enough. This is a prototype park where, eventually, the best version of the ride will exist elsewhere. Wonderland hasn't an absolute, number one ride and with the investment that is being made in the park it's crazy that they aren't going with a tried and tested manufacturer (of that kind of coaster) that will no doubtably deliver a banger of a rollercoaster. Canada's Wonderland used to be my home park but now I live overseas. I, however, always visit when I go home. For the longest time I thought rides like The Bat and Flight Deck were great - moving away and finally going to other parks around the world made me realize, sadly, what we don't have. I'm not the biggest enthusiast, but I really enjoy rollercoasters and these are only my thoughts.
9:39 TT2 was a retrofit of a coaster built over 2 decades ago, so TT2 being better than TTD really isn’t anything to shout at. (Thats not even to mention the fact that the second best part of TT2 exists because of a difference of heartline, which will not be the case of any custom coaster, and also CW isnt getting a huge spike like TT2 has, so once you eliminate those two factors TT2 has nothing going for it except poorly built trains) It doesn’t change the fact that zamperla has and still makes some of the least creative, most boring layouts ever, and this isnt something that has changed. The Zamperla concept you show on screen many times throughout the video is proof of that. That concept ride has more turns than non-turns. I don’t mean to sound rude but i would be very suprised if zamperla does anything excellent with this coaster, and doesnt make another mediocre ride. To think we could have had a B&M, a Vekoma, a Mack, or an Intamin and yet CF chooses this… unfortunate and disappointing is all i have to say about this coaster
As I kept saying: it makes no sense after CF blatantly gave away Intamins baby Top Thrill Dragster to Zamperla that there is currently a good relationship between CF and Inamin. I for one am happy with Zamperla. Much better than Premier IMO
I really don’t see wonderland going with Zamperla over B&M. Wonderland knows they need reliability and capacity which they didn’t know at all from Zamperla. Intamin would make sense when you look at a ride like velocicoaster. If they’re gonna spend a lot on a coaster I really don’t see it being a prototype launch from an unreliable company
Again, I keep watching this video with more and more disappointment! Why?? ... Their coasters are JUNK. Top Thrill 2 is their best, and all it is, is an Intanmin redesign. Cedar Fair dropped the ball on this when they went away from a winged coaster! So unless this is 400ft, which I highly doubt, this is a HUGE disappointment for CW...!
Remember when CP went with Intamin instead of Morgan for Millenium Force? I think CF/CW knows what they're doing here. For the record, 12 rides on TT2. VIVA ZAMPERLA!
@@Danrarbc I didn't say they weren't good. I implied that CP was wise to choose intamin at the time. What followed for CP and Intamin is essentially what made intamin's name what it is today. A morgan giga would have definitely been a downgrade from Millenium Force's ride experience and we'd likely have never seen maverick as a morgan would have occupied some of that area. That assumes CP would have worked with intamin in 2002, 03, 07 even if they went with morgan for their giga.

TT2 was definitely not cheap as well as it's pretty common knowledge that it's a better overall ride than its predecessor. I was much more worried it was going to be Premiere tbh.
Zamperla reportedly had the lowest price out of all the bidders for TT2
Funny enough, CF is basically being run by Paramount execs. Richard Zimmerman (CEO) was GM of Kings Dominion under Paramount and Tim Fisher (COO) was GM of Kings Island under Paramount.
Canada's Wonderland Should get a Launch Coaster Just like Kingda Ka and Top Thrill 2. :)
That would be terrible for how much people come to wonderland and they don’t have no space for it
What if this a zamperla version of the coaster at universal that could be cool if it turns out to be like that
In Brendon i trust.
no vertical launch?
Why do you think they didnt talk about it in the podcast??
Maybe this was so last minute they did not want to say anything untill they had the coaster drawn up and secured the contract.
Zamperla or Intamin, either sounds good to me!
Why don't you show the footage of the threaded rod at CW?
I have to my patreons
When will you to us?
@@AmusementInsiders oh ok
Here’s hoping Zamperla can pull this off… maybe they could do some work on TimeWarp while they are here.
Anyway I am here for the 2027 B&M 🥺

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
okay bro youll live
@@krcf3912have you ridden Time Warp? He actually might not
@@krcf3912 so true cutie
Looking forward to the Lightning trains. Hope they fix the defect(s) soon for TT2.
oh please nooo.... why not venom or intamin
Honestly, I don't mind! Top thrill 2 I'd waaaaay better than the original and the trains feel just like intamins new trains. If it's not intamin, zamperla absolutely is the 2nd best option. Still super excited for the new coaster :)
This assessment seems right given Intamin's reliability issues. Pity, in my opinion, because they make the best rides.
I said it before a Zamperla family launch coaster there I said it again
The percentages guessed on this channel have changed and swung often, why is everyone taking it as a sure thing? It might turn out to be Zamperla but a couple of weeks ago it sounded like Intamin was close to a sure thing. Regardless of the manufacturer it will likely still be one of CW's best coasters.
Having said that, I don't get the love for Zamperla regarding TT2. They didn't change the layout at all apart from the spike. What wonderland really needs especially considering the supposed path of this upcoming coaster is a great layout, something Zamperla hasn't been known for. Can that change? Sure, and having the new lightning model is encouraging but it's far from a sure thing compared to some other manufacturers.
yeah the predictions change a bunch
I describe the changes every time and have CONSISTENTLY told my audience the three manufacturers we were observing as possibilities.
I'm still really excited idc
I haven't paid attention to all your earlier videos but have you not ruled out gerstlauer?
Why is there a steam train in your intro?
No one knows, the intros feel like a waste of time where viewership is lost because they're wasting the most important part of the video where you want to hold a viewer's attention with cheesy animations that add little if anything at all to the video
sunday was insane.
1+ hours to get out of the parking lot...
oof
This is not a bad thing for me, both will still be amazing! Also I hope this doesn’t come off as rude but is the podcast not happening anymore?
The podcast is off till fall
Imagine if it is B&M 😂😂😂
I would cry and call the park : B&M land
I am sure they are sweating if they went with zamperla. lol. Look at tt 2 disaster at cedar point.
Finally wonderland is adding a new roller coaster
I wanted Intamin💙💙
I'm very glad I'm moving away from this area, but they could'nt even get Top Thrill 2 right. What a joke! This company is trash... imho
Nobody should be surprised since Cedar Fair stopped working with Intamin and didn’t even use them to modify Dragster.
i want to watch this so bad rn but i have to do my homework... bruh. i have a entire story due tmr and i havent even started. im dum
Dumb*
Did they not learn from Timewarp
Did you not learnt that they don't make those kinds of rides anymore
@@frenchtoast4491 how dumb do you think I am
If it isn’t intamin and it actually is zamperla I’ll never go to the park ever again
Well good! One less person in line for me!
Okay Canada wonderland will be fine without you 😂
@@bigblueamusementproductionslmao have fun with mid tier rides🤣 I’ll be at the cedar point with the best rides in the world

The threaded rod indicates zamperla! As written! Lisan al gaib!
Ok you have been saying it’s intimate for weeks
Now Zamperla?
Every video has shown percentages and I’ve stated as much as it can be Intamin it can also be Zamperla. I encourage you to go back and listen and watch.
i mean ive heard nothing but positive things about tt2 so zamperla would be great either way
Hard to say anything about tt2 since it's broken already.
@@rdabadie thing happen when it is prototype trains and thier first large scale coaster ever
What? It's broken with no return date
@@michaelhughes7472 i meant the ride experience, obviously new rides go down it happened with steve it happened with millie it happened with magnum
@@michaelhughes7472 happens with a prototypes anything for a company. Many ride in the past have closed due to other reason and now they are great. Look at steel vengeance original break run. RMC built their first break runs and was a flop took months to fix. You could say that thier engineering was a flaw but they fixed it and have not had problem since. People still said the loved steel vengeance at the time even with its flaws
Top Thrill 2 is closed for an unknown duration while Zamperla addresses a mechanical issue with the coaster's trains
Please for the love of god not zamperla trash….. that’s the most boring news of all time…. That would ruin wonderland
Honestly just glad it’s not Premier, I would much rather see the potential in a new gen Zamperla launch coaster
Hopefully TT2 is up and running by the time CW's 2025 ride is opened.... then again. 😮
My sources were such garbage. lol.
Looks like another boring and generic Leviathan type coaster ?
As I kept saying: it makes no sense after CF blatantly gave away Intamins baby Top Thrill Dragster to Zamperla that there is currently a good relationship between CF and Inamin. I for one am happy with Zamperla. Much better than Premier IMO
Coaster fans are the biggest cry babies
So it's a Zamperla Lightning Launch? I'll bite...
I was sad at first but but zamperla is okay.
Everyone's upset it's zamperla but at least it's not B&M all their coasters feel the same
I would much prefer a B&M over a Zamperla
Remember when CP went with Intamin instead of Morgan for Millenium Force?
I think CF/CW knows what they're doing here. For the record, 12 rides on TT2.
VIVA ZAMPERLA!
The Morgan hypers are good though. With their MCBRs toned down.
@@TrueLies23 you definitely have not ridden Steel Dragon 2000. It's better than MF by a mile lol.
@@SwaggehGamingyou definitely missed my point. Go back and read it again. No one is sitting here hoping Canada's Wonderland is building a morgan.
@@TrueLies23Definitely a great choice. Intamin had all the Superman coasters as proof of concept. They could have also gone with Arrow again.
I love how so many people 💩 on Zamperla and act like all the other coaster manufacturers didn't have the best starts in their early days too.
I want to see what Zamperla wants to bring to the table. Their flat rides are unparalleled in the industry, and they have proven they can innovate and evolve with the best of them. Some "thoosies" need to chill and stop being such blow hards. Ffs people, give them a chance instead of being so pseudo intellectual and elitest.
I want to see what zamperla brings to the table too, just not at canadas wonderland until we know it’s good
