This is not Barker Ranch, it's a garbage pile, presumably nearby. The ranch's main building, where Manson spent his last moments of freedom, burned down in May 2009. Most of the main structure was destroyed with only the concrete and rock portion of the cabin still standing. We don't see any of that here; we see only garbage.

...Tate/LaBianca (in Sept '69),a dozen heavily armed Family members arrived to occupy the area properly. So it is definitely possible that there is evidence of their occupation still in the area, esp when you consider how remote and unpopulated it is even today.
Finally..HELTER SKELTER DID NOT HAPPEN IN LA! Its race war predicted by Manson that never happened. The murders were intended to START Helter Skelter, they were NOT Helter Skelter itself.
If you want to comment, educate yourself first.

@StrangeTours I would buy a pebble or anything or any junk that dates back to when The Family were still living and active there at the ranch for 5 pounds sterling. if I knew for sure that it really was from that ranch. If I ever visited America I know for sure I would have to visit that place. There is something about that era that really interests me; the music was great and with the counter culture (Hippies etc) etc it all just seemed so idealistic. The Manson murders marked a turning point.

@Ruckasman - I suggest you get your own facts straight...Manson had posted Paul Watkins (Manson's ORIGINAL right hand man) Brooks Poston and Juanita Wildebush, among others, were there to prepare Barker/Myers and area for occupation by the Family for when "the shit came down", All 3 of them were "deprogrammed" by a miner called Crockett but had spent considerable time in this area. Tex, Brenda and Bruce all came regularly to leave supplies:gas, motor parts, food and weapons. Whether this...

karmalevel oh yes. Creepy as hell. So desolate. Such negative history. Scary place. I spent a few nights there in the mid 90's. My Rottweiler and me. We got woke several times in the night by what sounded like keys being violently shaken. Turn the light on.... silence. Eventually caught the culprits. A mouse trying to drag an injured circada into his hole. When the.light came on the mouse booked. Scared the bejebbers outta me.

@Ruckasman Yeah I have read and watched pretty much everything that exists about these people, sad but true : ) However, Helter Skelter was, according to Manson -who should know as it's HIS phrase after all- was meant to be an apocalyptic RACE war. The LA murders were intended to incite black vs. white war, which they didn't. Unless I missed that war... Tate/LaBianca was a means to this end, not Helter Skelter in itself. That is my point, check out what the phrase actually meant to the Family.

I wud have loved to have lived there freedom freedom without the murders I think the family made a mistake when they decided to kill people some member should have said no this act will ruin our lives and freedom and of cource acid and Charlie's warped mind destroyed the family's freedom its a pity they should have stood up to him and oust him I always wanted to join them but cudent after best now ain't it

...video of all this junk actually shows anything at all related to Family activity is really not for me (or you) to say for sure. The verified FACTS are this: that this area was occupied by the Family in preparation for Helter Skelter; several key members of the family lived here (although some defected via Crockett); Clem, girls and according to Crockett, possibly Manson himself, were caught on at least 3 occasions trying to creepy-crawl Crockett and Poston while they slept. After....
