Bit of a niche idea but I'd love to see how the finances of a monthly MOT and repair only garage works against your last garage and car sales business. And how the garage and car sales compares financially to a good/bad month of purely car sales. I mean it must be financially worth while for you to take the jump to solely selling cars but at least with an MOT arm you had the chance of a solid dependable income

@@flippingcarsrepairs I know it's ultimately between Lee and his accountant but would be nice to put things in perspective toiling away all day on other people's cars with a sideline of car sales Vs sacking it all in and dealing in car sales. I know Lee is also dabbling in services etc to keep a solid revenue stream going but roles are now reversed. Also nice to see the realities of if any cars come back like Chops Garage and how that affects the margins.
All the best for the new business. It's take some reworking,cleaning,painting & organising but you'll get there. You should sell 15 cars a month easy! Just make sure you know anyone else who can do any paint for you without your usual paintshop without getting offended/annoyed with you,you gotta turn them over to get the numbers. I've been in the trade for many,many years,always handy to look after those who look after you.

Good luck with it all, wish you well. I have bought old bangers since 1999 when I passed my test. Love the old rear wheel drive Volvo 240, 740 and 940.
A 1986 740GLE petrol estate 2.3 B230K was my first car. £425 in 2001. Prior driving A Volvo 340 that was my Grandparents.
Car after was a 1989 240 GLT Auto B230E engine petrol estate for £350 in Late 2009. 159K when bought, sold 10 years later, 8 years as only car for £500 and 234,000miles. Drove faultless.
For the last 6 year have a 1996 Volvo 940 SE LPT B230FK engine Auto petrol estate. Cost £250 with 9 months MOT and now run in at 209,000 miles. All has given reliable service. Use this as my works van.
For best have a Toyota Auris Hybrid estate.
I was born in Crewe and moved down south when I was 8 or 9, not been back in 35 years. Keep saying I will, I think I know where you are, remember when I was little going there with my dad, the car dealer had lots of old cars stored away out the back, Jags and the like.
sadly the town has changed alot but we cant go back in time. the car site back then was called the lion and swan 👍

I`m going to be looking for a cheapy soon to just tow the caravan off the drive to a resting place. So I will watch with interest what you buy and sell. Obviously a tow bar is is my thoughts. Not so much the car, unless its a Mini lol.

cant fault your attitude,same as mine,ive been established 30 years lots of repeat good business,garage area is fine make it too tidy and customers take advantage,tea room needs doing straight away i used my old kitchen from home and painted the doors,main concern is security,safe in the floor for keys overnight and put cars up to the inside of the shutters at night so they cant be rammed or crow barred up,you dont need luck because you know what to buy and youve hit gold walking into a trusted former selling place
All the best Lee and will have to use that saying myself "would not let a dog shit in there" just like some of the vehicle's i drive
Looking good! I'd just spray all the weeds on the hard standing areas, only have to do it once every 6 weeks or so when you're on top of it 👍

This looks very similar to the garage who has looked after my two motors for the last ten years - his office is like yours - computer, a couple of seats and kettle and biscuits (lots of them!) All the real cash is spent in the workshop. It's the quality of what you do and how you do it - not the surroundings. From what I have seen of your attitude to the car business on your vids, I suspect you will do well - if I lived in the area, with two late teens in the family, I might well have been in! Good luck.

I am a new follower. I love your channel. I am 'vehicle' enthusiast through and through! Yes, I'm really a vintage vehicle lover. However, I am also an auction lover! I used to go to auctions with my dad to get the family car, usually 'bangers.' The cars that go as 'classic' now, where 'bread and butter' bangers when we were kids in the 70's and 80's! So 'keep up the good work, I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@carukchannel Thank you for such an interesting channel. I'm a big fan of the sort of cars you sell, as although I'm a car enthusiast (Volvos are my main thing), I'm not interested in cars costing more than £3,000 and am not bothered one jot at not having a newer car than any of my neighbours.
