Many languages including Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Latin, Greek, Hungarian, Sanskrit have grammar cases, while others like English or Chinese don't. Cases might seem to be unnecessary complication for language learners, but they exist for a reason. In this video you will find out what is their role in Russian, how they are connected with other features of the language, and how you can view them as tools, not obstacles.
By the way, the language with the largest number of cases is Tabasaran spoken in Dagestan, Russia : )
My native language is German, a language with cases. I learned Sanskrit in India, a language with eight cases. I find it natural that a language has cases. Only English has no cases.
Modern Roman languages have lost cases, but Latin had them
Among Slavic languages only Bulgarian doesn’t have cases
If you think Russian is grammatically complex, try Finnish. 15 cases.
But no gender ; )
true, that's its only saving grace lol@@LearnRussianStanislavAcademy
If you think finnish is hard try Hungarian, 18 cases
@@justafloridamanfromthe75thRR Same thing, still no gender, though impressive anyway. But then there is Tabasaran 😉
İt s not practical but there is no way : little by little we students must get used to cases....
