I just became an AM and I absolutely love it! Luckily we don't have to do that much prep. We just put labels on the bags and grab a bag when we need it. Saves us so much on dishes later 😄 The job is a lot of work but definitely worth it!!
The make line is always my favorite to set up it's a pain in the rear though cause we have to check all the dates on them before we put them in that's exactly what I'm gonna start on is getting everything out of the walk in put them on the make table check all dates while waiting for the make line to get cold videos like these help us shift managers 👍

All i can say is ask lots of questions, even if you’re not confused and fully understand always ask to double check what you were taught because different managers have different methods
You shouldn’t be changing the dates for the containers, I work for dominos as an AM and that’s one thing we are taught not to do. We have a system where we change to black containers of a night and the next day we don’t change them unless there empty, which then we use clear containers but at the end of the night if there’s any product left in black containers they get thrown out to ensure there is fresh product. Always change containers every day as needed don’t change the date. Bacteria could build up and make someone seriously sick
I love that people seem to think their franchises way of doing things is the correct way, for example where I used to work what you just said would get you sacked as black tubs were only for gf products. Read the OER guide you plonker
