Very nice video guys! Thank you for the positivity too! Sometimes it’s hard to see the positives here even for us locals 😅 I hope you guys come Back but in the summer, you will enjoy it much more as we have nice weather and also there is some very nice places to visit outside of the city in the summer
Thank you! We would really like to visit Moldova again someday. It was one of our favourite countries in Eastern Europe 😊 I'm sure there is so much more to explore! Where is your favourite place to visit in the country?
@@SarahandMarek So a few places would be Orheiul Vechi (the most famous) it’s a beautiful natural reservation and has two very traditional villages, Molovata (it’s a village on the river nistru), cariera de la fetesti (nice place for photos too), then the Cricova and Milestii mici wine cellars ( which have around 100km) biggest in Europe or even the world wine cellars and they do tours inside and also trying of different wines and also there are many very good chateaus like Asconi, Castel Mimi, Purcari etc where you can go and they have traditional hotel and restaurant on site and in the summer they have live concerts with traditional music plus swimming pool to relax and stuff.

An amazing thing to me is many resteraunts had places for children to play which is unheard of in the USA I'm talking like fine dining good food with a jungle gym for kids to play.
I as a Moldovan was surprised that other countries don't have such things. Other peoples do say that we are a very child-centric society, but I always replied 'Yeah, right!'. However, this is true. I have finally understood that I had a beautiful, happy childhood in Moldova.
Moldova still has young people because they aren't in the European Union. A lot of the young people from Romania (EU member) have gone to England, Spain, and Germany to work The Moldovan youth stay home. Thanks.
I really want to visit Chișinău, Moldova. But someone told me there are lots of street dogs, stray dogs, is it true. Because I am scared of dogs . But I really want to see Moldova. Pls guide
Hi Nicholas :) we visited Moldova in February. The prices were very reasonable and we considered it very budget friendly country especially considering we travel using a weak currency (South African Rand). Not too sure what the prices are like now...
We in Moldova don't speak Romanian. In more developed areas and in schools they are speaking a "prettier"/" more educated moldovan" which is the most similar to romanian, with only the accent and some words being different. That's becoming more common due to the increased romanian influence. But if a person from the village or any other person speak the actual moldovan then a Romanian won't understand because the words are russified or big part of them. As an extra, according to the Moldovan constitution, the country's official language is still moldovan. People are starting to refuse the moldovan because by speaking it, you're seen as an uncultured and as a low class person. Yet Moldovan is an individual language, despite being very similar to romanian. If we go by the theory of it being Romanian, then Spanish is the same as Portuguese, Czech is the same as Slovak, Italian is the same as Spanish or Romanian and so on.
@@SarahandMarek Except it's not true. Moldovan is an accent of Romanian. Portuguese is significantly more different to Spanish (I speak both), in best case scenario the relationship between them would be dialectal. It takes a Romanian from Romania several weeks to a few months to learn all the Romanised Russian words.
That’s not true! The connection between what you call “Moldovan” and Romanian would be like the Portuguese and brazilian Portuguese, which is still portuguese, or German and Swiss German, or Austrian German, which is still German. We speak romanian in Moldova!
I am a frequent traveler. British citizen. Travelled to 36 countries, Moldova was number 37. I flew here on 21/9/2023, it's a Visa free country for British citizens, but I was DENIED ENTRY and held in detention because I am Muslim. The British embassy was able to send me back home. I was really looking forward to exploring this country, REALLY LOOKING FORWARD!!! The flight was very expensive because all budget airlines has stopped flying there but I was still determined to go! The border police discriminated against me and denied me this opportunity! Just because of my religion!!! There is no justice!
Hey Eunice 😊 thank you so much! 😁 we were in Moldova from the 14th-16th of February of this year and felt so incredibly safe at all times. The locals are friendly and kind and we never once felt in any sort of danger. This was our experience but it may not always be the case, we always practice caution no matter where we are 😃
Were you surprised by what we shared about Chisinau & Moldova? 😄🇲🇩
Sarah, You are wrong, Moldavian speaks MOLDAVIAN language, nothing rominian.
Go to Moldavian Constitution art.13 and Moldavian legislation, dear...

Normaly the cheapest way is Public Transit, however it doesn't get you to the door and if you don't know the area a taxi is the most convenient way
