FUN FACT: "Bulletproof" was an early rejected superhero name for "Invincible" so it is only appropriate that he is wearing the same super suit Mark rejected in season 1. Yes, Donald died in season 1. So why is Donald alive now? I'm not telling 😜.
Key take away: The Guardians suck at searching for survivors. Not only did they miss the Mauler, but also Angstrom who was so easy to find that the Mauler found him in like 2 seconds. 🙄
I like the dichotomy between Evil Mark and Good Mark regarding blame and responsibility. Evil Mark places blame on others for the people he himself kills, even blaming the victims directly. Good Mark blames himself for those others killed, even when he saved so many lives.
My mind went even darker. When Alternate Evil Mark said he planned to visit Eve in the hospital, the first thing that popped into my head was "You mean like a conjugal visit?"
It's funny you say that. I just had her action figure delivered to my door. The figure comes with some accessories that go along with her getting killed all the time. A dismembered leg. A busted up arm bent and bleeding in several wrong ways. I wasn't expecting that and then not minutes later your comment. 😄
She's a character that I hope the show expands on from the comics. There's definitely some more to come from her but a lot of it is in relation to other characters.
I love the montage with the Radiohead song at the beginning. It’s so somber watching Mark just coast in life, with the wait of guilt and trauma on his shoulder. My favorite is him float upside down, with the lyrics “this is what you’ll get”. I can’t explain it but I think we’ve all been that kind of emotionally exhausted
He’s just going through the motions and it’s so sad. And we’ve all been there, obviously not to his level, lol, but you could really recognize yourself in those moments.
19:47 Glad that you’re actually wondering about Donald. Nearly every other reaction channel just ignores or seems to have forgotten what happened to him in season one. ☺️
13:20 I like how Amber comes to “save” Mark like she did in the first season. Also would love to see your Atom Eve reaction, I love how they expanded on her backstory!
If you watch police TV shows you’d think all criminals even eventually get caught, so why bother. But in fact most crime goes unsolved. In superhero shows we see them when they catch the villains. But you only have to look at the state of Gotham City to see most criminals are getting away with it.
Noticed Rex seems different yh he's still the loud mouth, but his tone was different almost teasing as opposed to the mean spirited nature that was Season 1. Early he picks at Rudy a little, but afterwards has a genuine smile while his friend speaks and then looked genuinely concerned for Mark. I actually believe him when he says he is trying to be better. I could see Bulletproof being a mentor figure to Rex in a way. We don't know much of Rex backstory, but it's clear he needs a guiding light.
Donald showing back up with absolutely no explanation happened in the comics too lol! Rex reminds me of Sokka, but like if he never got humbled by the Kyoshi Warriors and Katara.
Wasn't he already [SPOILER] when we first saw him in the books (though it wasn't revealed until issue 38)..? Or did it happen in Brit or some other series..?
@@zimvader25 I expect it'll be revealed the same way here; we'll get a short scene with [SPOILER] trying to adapt to their new circumstances, and Donald comforting them by revealing that he's in a similar (or worse) situation...

I'm guessing that Donald spent time in Tahiti ... it's a magical place ... At the start, I thought that The Immortal and Invincible were training. As for this new Angstrom Levy's hate-boner, he states that in most universes, Invincible joins Omni-Man. I'm guessing that in many others Omni-Man kills Invincible, and the prime universe is one of the very few where Invincible both survives and doesn't join Omni-Man.
The worst part of what mark did to Eve in the mirrored timeline is that her past was so messed up already and it got as bad as possible. Plus she can no longer control atoms since her whole body is paralyzed. Truly messed up. This season is going to be crazy. Also the only person who noticed the slight outfit change at the beginning.🎉

Those hints of it being a different timeline. You got Donald getting better after being blown up and Amber being with Mark. I'm sure there are more I'm missing but those were the 2 obvious ones from this video.
Totally confused about the beginning and thought it was a dream until it continued beyond Mark's experience. And yeah, grown up Bobby Hill did die in the first season, he blew the house up to try slow down Omni-Man. I can only assume a clone?

If I remember correctly, Donald dies in an explosion in the comics as well, but not in Invincible. I believe it was in BRIT. There was very little left of him...very little.
One thing to consider is the universe we know nolan raised mark as a human, was still unprepared how to train or even tell him, and mark found out his dad was evil before the discussion even started on what his mission really was. In other universes those happen differently.
Considering the fate of Eve's mom her own alternate universe fate is much the same and she knows it. And its likely her fate in all the other universes. They'll likely live for hundreds of years. This context just makes it so much darker.
Evil Mark was so uncomfortable to watch, so nonchalant about murdering and disabling Eve, oh and btw if you didn't know Eve has a really strong healing ability I think we got to see in that origin story they did a while back for her, but it only kicks in when she is close to death, so by paralyzing her, Mark left her in a state where she is not going to die and he said he had people to take care of her so she is literally stuck like that and cannot use her powers anymore, horrible thought.
@@funnylilgalreacts Exactly! And he also only thought of himself there, she even said I'd rather die, but nah Mark doesn't want that so he'll just leave her paralyzed instead, no thought for what she would want. It's going to be interesting to see how the Mauler twins interact when one of them is obviously different. Good catch on Donald still being alive after having his spine crushed and getting blown up. Not sure if the statistics are still the same now, but several years ago I read a study that said poison was the #1 choice of method for female killers. Something about it being more difficult to prove if enough time has passed in between the death and the examination of the body.

Ironically, the Giant comes straight from the books, with his first appearance being all the way back in 2007, so it's just an interesting coincidence.

Yeah, Monster Girl is voiced by Azula (or the voice actor for Azula, Grey DeLisle), and I have difficulty not hearing it. [Rdiy: Same for Olga, though the Russian accent makes it easier for me to separate her and Azula.]
I love that Bulletproof is wearing the same ugly costume that the tailor first tried to give to Mark. Omni-Man killed him in the last season, so it’s implied that Bulletproof is just wearing what the tailor had left laying around 😂 Edit: apparently Art is still alive? I interpreted that scene differently, but regardless it is the same costume.
Is it stretching too much to hope that that scene with Olga and Debbie (where we see the knife first and assume the worst) is a nod to Killing Eve lol?
They kinda did Rex dirty in the TV show. He's still kind of an ass in the comics, but he's not so much of a frat-boy douche and he does have some redeeming qualities to him. Hopefully he gets better in the show because his backstory does sort of justify his behavior sometimes, at least in the comics. The Mauler Twins are actually my favorite villains in the show. They strike me as the kind of villain that had noble intentions at some point in their past, but got lost along the way, and their dynamic of cloning one another and then arguing which one is the original and which one is the clone is actually kind of brilliant. They touched on why they do it in the episode where they help Robot transfer himself into his new body, but I hope they go into it deeper in this season.
I didn't trust Angstrom at all. Although I can see he did have good intentions, he was intelligent, and seemed to be a pacifist, I think that even if the procedure had gone through fully without being interrupted, he would still have not been able to keep the memories straight in his head. That many minds, condensed into one? Sure, he had powers, talent, and was special for those reasons and more, but I don't know if it was "hold the full minds of a lot of different versions of themselves in one mind" kind of special. The Mauler Twins told him to keep the memories straight and separated, but this was a first for them. There was no way they could know how it would go, how it would change a person or the load that it would cause. Also, they had to have known that they would have a very limited amount of time before someone noticed what they were doing, with how much power they were using and all the building they had to do to create these giant machines. I also can't help but distrust people that want power/knowledge funneled into them and them only. I think what truly mutilated Angstrom was his own hubris. I think someone with his abilities and intelligence would have anticipated some of these issues and tried to work around them. I would have trusted him more if he had made his "family" into a council that uploaded copies of all their minds into a single location, likely some kind of large, synthetic brain that would be designed to contain all of their minds without overloading it. There are many ways they could design ways to interface with this to get information, exactly as he described wanting to achieve, but without entrusting it to a single person. I don't blame him for becoming a villain, I don't think there are many people that would be able to get through that without doing so, especially with how many universes Mark/Invincible is evil, but I was surprised by some of his decisions. I'm interested to see where his character goes this season!
Sadly a lot of reactors that are watching Invincible either are not reacting to it or don't even know it exists. I am glad to hear FunLilGal has recorded it though and that its in the wings! look forward to it!
Ya know now that I’ve rewatched this why didn’t he just send invincible to another dimension instead of grabbing 12 other mauler twins or better yet set up shop in one of the empty dead worlds guaranteeing no interference?🤔
I don't know how the comics played out the story but I have a theory about Donald here hes back because he is living in a different reality, in fact i theorize that the whole episode took place in a different reality that is close to the one we were following season 1, but is not the reality prime that we will be following! (i only come to the conclusion because whenever they word Invincible was used that we did not see it splash across the screen in the parallel world in the beginning of the episode, nor did we see that later in the episode when it was used 2 more times.) in fact it was not till the end of the episode that we say the print of Invincible used for the first time. anyways just my theory to how it might play out im probably wrong but i enjoyed the first of season 2 . thanks again for the reaction.
This is a theory and probably turn out to be a spoiler, sorry. “Donald we’re not in Kansas anymore” meaning we are not in our original dimension. We’re in a dimension where Donald survived.
Love your reactions!! If you like The Boys (and I know you do), you really should watch GEN V, the new spinoff which is out now. It directly leads in to season 4 of The Boys
I think it's blown way out of proportion. They blame everything that goes wrong with Mark on her instead of having Mark share some of the responsibility. They shouldn't be together at all but I think we are stuck with it for now.
That _does_ sound like something Cecil would do... though probably not to Donald, Cecil seemed to actually care about him. But hey, at least he isn't a reaniman... even if only because there wasn't enough Donald left for Sinclair to do his thing...
@@mbpoblet My theory is that there were already a Few Donalds ready to be activated if one were killed. I haven’t read the comics. But Donald being alive implies that we’re not following “our” universe. But maybe it’s just a red herring and he somehow survived or is a clone?
Omniman is the biggest narcissist and massacred hundreds of thousands of people are beating Mark nearly to death. I do see him changing his ways and dying by doing so. Just my guess

Mark snapping Eve's neck and implying he is going to "visit" her in the hospital in the future is maybe the darkest thing I've ever seen.

A giant orange baby?
A giant orange baby that wants to be president of the United States?
A giant orange baby that wants to be president of the United States so badly they're willing to destroy everything around them to get it?
I don't think this is a coincidence lol.
How the hell I didn’t pick that up I have no idea lol
Ironically, the Giant comes straight from the books, with his first appearance being all the way back in 2007, so it's just an interesting coincidence.
Between him and doc seismic, I think the writers knew what they were doing
I"m so excited to watch this with you again!! I was expecting it later this month but then I saw reactions come up and I got really psyched for it!!
Not sure if someone has mentioned this but it'll be broken up this time.... 4 episodes and then early next year we'll get the other 4.
Mark’s used to taking out 3 plates.😢
Awww I missed that 😭😭😭
Thumbs up for noticing Donald was still alive not everyone caught that lol
I think the constant setting up but not paying off the invincible title gimmick in this episode was a stroke of genius.
They all knew we were going to be leaning forward waiting for the drop… We got trolled.
Maybe Donald some kind of clone or that guy from season 1 perfected his cyborg technology
If you can't remember Donald's name, you can just call him "Adult Bobby Hill".
I always said The Boys is Watchmen if written by Deadpool, I than believe Invincible is Spider-man in a more mentally stable Boys universe!
i am glad your watching this i also watched this one and yea i was confusd at first , i love hearing Sandra ho i guess she is voicing marks mom. i still think you need to watch the og bsg.
There's also a Hulk villian MasterMind? Unstead of hs body hulking out his brain hulked out, research assistant with Banner, but big green science mind
That's the Leader; Marvel's Mastermind was a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and Hellfire Club creep who messed around with (Dark) Phoenix and found out.
I could piece together that it was an alternate universe as soon as I saw Rudy was alive...
Donald... I can only guess that he was cloned...
Most realitys end with mark and noland teaming up.
Were the outlier is a horrifying thing to learn
20:00 since the comics explained it I think the show will too
Yeah, Monster Girl is voiced by Azula (or the voice actor for Azula, Grey DeLisle), and I have difficulty not hearing it. [Rdiy: Same for Olga, though the Russian accent makes it easier for me to separate her and Azula.]
Oh yeah, Omni Mans out there and he has a surprise in store them.
So the mauler twin has to create two clones, else if he just creates one he will know which the clone is at least the first time.
It's adorable that Todd is trying though. He may not be good at not being a dick, but he does really seem to want to change
There’s a good guy in there
Episode 2 just dropped...go check it out.
10:20 eh who cares, kills me everytime 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love that Bulletproof is wearing the same ugly costume that the tailor first tried to give to Mark. Omni-Man killed him in the last season, so it’s implied that Bulletproof is just wearing what the tailor had left laying around 😂
Edit: apparently Art is still alive? I interpreted that scene differently, but regardless it is the same costume.
I didn’t even notice that! 😂😂😂😂
@@funnylilgalreacts I wonder if we’ll get any newer heroes this season wearing slightly more homemade costumes moving forward?
Uhm..omni man didn't kill art the tailor..he and Debbie shared a drink after everything happened at the end of the season.
art is alive still
Rex is my favorite character
Yes, Donald did die. Anymore would be a spoiler.
My boy mark is goin thru it😢
did you notice he took out three plates when he offered to make dinner.
That crack to me is suggesting he's not invincible as thought
I don't know how Donald is alive, but I'm here for it. Maybe he's a clone or something. I ended up really liking his character in the first season.
lil saying thank god Eve is good, me thinking don't know about Eve but they are going to show what will it look like if mark is bad☠☠
wait, u did not react to atom eve's especial episode?
Oh girl
she said she watched it, its just not on youtube yet
@@mymaynee5963 thanks!
Sadly a lot of reactors that are watching Invincible either are not reacting to it or don't even know it exists. I am glad to hear FunLilGal has recorded it though and that its in the wings! look forward to it!
I was just as confused with the start of the episode and thought I missed a independent episode.
It's good casting too! I've been keeping up with your Loki reactions I'm so glad you're doing an invincible season 2 ❤ team Meve! (👎 Ambark)
Is the third part of How To Train Your Dragon in planning? 🔥
Yes it is 🥰
Love your reactions!! If you like The Boys (and I know you do), you really should watch GEN V, the new spinoff which is out now. It directly leads in to season 4 of The Boys
Just get Mark and Eve together already.... We have been waiting for Markeve since S01E01
I just started watching this show and I am picking up on an intense hatred for Amber. I don’t understand that.
I think it's blown way out of proportion. They blame everything that goes wrong with Mark on her instead of having Mark share some of the responsibility. They shouldn't be together at all but I think we are stuck with it for now.
How is grown up Bobby Hill still alive? Is he a clone?
I agree on that part, Rex is annoying.
❤❤❤❤❤
I think this Donald is a clone from the other. maybe Cecil keeps a stash of them around. I wouldn't put it past him.
A Donald stash 😳
That _does_ sound like something Cecil would do... though probably not to Donald, Cecil seemed to actually care about him.
But hey, at least he isn't a reaniman... even if only because there wasn't enough Donald left for Sinclair to do his thing...
@@mbpoblet My theory is that there were already a Few Donalds ready to be activated if one were killed.
And while Cecil does like Donald, I think the man is ruthless enough to do that to people hecares about.
Hell, I genuinely think he likes Mark - and that he's making plans to kill him if it becomes necessary. I might bewrong, butthat's how I see him.
Hey Angela will you be open to watching anime too it would be absolutely amazing to watch you react to some of the new & must sees
I definitely like to do more anime. Finding the time to do the reaction and edit them down is really the problem.
@@funnylilgalreacts great news! i hope one day we get to see them fingers crossed 🤞
@@funnylilgalreactsPutting in my vote for Spy x Family! It's so cute and wholesome, I think you'd really love it. The second season just started, so there's not a huge backlog to work through.
@@joshgreiner2599 great recommendation & a good starting point before getting into jjk, demon slayer, csm & getting your heart broken into a million peices 😅
@@funnylilgalreacts Nice! Something like Death Note, Attack on Titan or Code Geass would be quite fun to rewatch with you )).
16:49 many me’s
I believe Donald is a clone, or the more weirder explanation that THIS reality we're watching itself is an alternate reality, woooooooo. I mean, we've seen from the first season cloning is a thing some have access to.
