@Mike you did a great job with this video! You should make more of these. What I like about your video is you aren't reading the specs, instead going into details of each feature! Keep it up!
I’ve had mine since July 2024. It’s been a pleasure to own & drive. The only problem has been that they drilled the holes too large for one of the window shades so it won’t stay in the “up” position. Other than this, it has been a fantastic vehicle.
just bought mine this weekend - upgraded from a 2018 tiguan so some of the differences are staggering, but overall i LOVE it, and this video was super helpful. my one complaint is the fact that the sliders below the display screen for the volume don't have any backlighting when it's dark out. really can't understand why they didn't do that. having no buttons for anything will take some getting used to but definitely isn't a deal breaker for me (sort of like when you upgraded from an iphone with a home button to one without one). one thing i can't figure out though is how to disable the eco tips on this one. saw your video on how to do so on another VW but the interface on this is totally different, and i can't find a way to do it. they get to be real annoying real fast as i've been driving with the sunroof open and eco tips hates that i guess haha
Volkswagen USA has a very helpful video on how to go through your settings and also shows off some of its neat tricks. m.ruclips.net/video/4hi71XdMM80/видео.html&pp=ygUjMjAyNCB2dyBhdGxhcyB0b3VjaCBzY3JlZW4gc2V0dGluZ3M%3D
I wish everything wasn’t touch buttons because I really like everything else I see 😂 The standard equipment and MSRP on these are very competitive and the fit and finish and materials appear good. But the touch buttons are a deal breaker for me and I assume a lot of others.
Is the area view or birds eye view camera only sensors on this trim or does it actually show the surrounding? Dealer top me you can't get birds eye view camera unless you get the SEL Premium R Line. I don't want to pay an extra 10k because of the birds eye view camera but it's a must for the wife.
Hi Mike! Thanks for the super informative video! One question. Is there a 12V socket up front anywhere? I've been trying to hunt down the answer with no avail. I've seen the USB-C on the right side of the mirror housing, but not sure that would work for a radar detector. Thanks!
My wife has a 2021 Volkswagen atlas. She hit a deer in May 2023 and it has been sitting at the autobody shop every sense, because they have not been able to source a hood or bumper in seven months, and Volkswagen cannot tell us when they will begin to manufacture a hood and bumper for this car. This leaves us with a car payment and insurance but no car to drive I would not buy a Volkswagen atlas or any other Volkswagen because they are not manufacturing parts to repair their cars.
No ambient lighting (actually disabled) at this price is an absolute joke. Similar to how the base trim has the actual led DRLs at the front and back but are just disabled... make it make sense. Why do manufacturers insist on doing this? Kudos to VW for adding standard features like heated/ventilated seats, but at the same token they deserve flack for scamming consumers.
The headlights move in conjunction with the steering wheel. It allows you to see to the corner you are turning towards instead of pointing straight ahead. It’s an amazing feature that is very functional.
Thanks for showing how to see the fuel gauge. I seen the distance to empty, but wanted something bigger to view. Like the looks and ride of this car, but too much technology and not enough simple knobs or buttons. VW, please dumb down the '25. Too much of a good thing can be bad.
I've had the 2018 and now the 2021. I don't think I will upgrade to this 2024. I'm not a fan of all the digital displays that are now integrated. Also concerned about the power of the new engine. Everything else is fantastic.
No VR6 Engine and No Fog Lights mean No Sale for me! The Fake Exhaust Tips are pure stupidity! The Front Passenger Seat must have power adjustments on all trim levels. Who specs out the interior features on these vehicles a divorced engineer or bean counter? That is why they are divorced with on power passenger seat. The Major Decision Makers when it comes to the purchase of a new vehicle is most times the female spouse. This Decision Maker will always want a power passenger seat and lighted vanity mirrors.
Horrible outside design. It used to be one of the most beautiful SUVs and somehow they made it so ugly that it looks like a Ford. @VW what are you doing????
It looks way better than the previous model

That little Bart Simpson hand looks hilarious
Just bought the awd SE w/tech and it's awesome!
The LED lighting is phenomenal
Can't believe they did away with the wave blue color. Love it on my 2021 atlas
They have a very minimal color selection, unlike other brands in the same segment.
Now my dream SUV for me to drive one day.
Awesome job with your videos anyway Mike.
It’s nothing great, handles like a boat
It’s so wide and hard to park with the poor Turing radius

I've had mine for a month now and I agree about the volume buttons on the center stack. You just have to use the steering wheel buttons.

On the settings you can turn off all those tips, I did. I also turned off haptic feedback.
Check the owners manual. It will tell you how.
are the side exterior mirrors electrically foldable? if not, why? cars from 2018 have this option!
My dream Volkswagen Atlas SUV! Nice job.
Have a question…in the previous model, if you use remote start it disabled cruise control. Is that still the case in this generation?
I wish everything wasn’t touch buttons because I really like everything else I see 😂

does any Atlas trim have interior ambient lighting ?
I'm trying to figure out how to change the color on the ambient lighting 🤔
I believe R Line
The SE has some ambient lighting - door handles, footwell and the cockpit lights have an ambient ring.
R line has it all over
Hi Mike, will you be getting the new Crosstrek soon?
Hopefully, but I'm not sure when.
How many speakers does it have? And does it come with a cargo sliding cover?
6 speaker sound system 30:26
Cargo cover is optional on this trim.
Love 😍 the new headlights with the day time running strip across the hood also the rear LED taillights still i think the AWD would be a better SUV

No, it looks like you will have to direct wire the detector to the fuse box. It is a cleaner looking install when done right.
User manual says that there is one outlet below the center console to the back. Hoperfully someone that has the car can confirm this.

Seems like a winner. Great review.

I bet you someone can figure out how to get past that software and enable em 😏
One of my favorite reviewers and the yellow finger lol
how does the AFS - adaptive front light system work ?
The headlights move in conjunction with the steering wheel. It allows you to see to the corner you are turning towards instead of pointing straight ahead. It’s an amazing feature that is very functional.
@@-MOYST- I actually bought this car too, and I love it a lot 😍
Why they light up the logo? 😢
Is this the entry level trim?
No. S is entry level.
Why the plastic hand?

I just got one of these to pair it with my 2021 first edition ID4. The ID4 handles much better than the Atlas

You could fit another engine with that space under the hood
Nexen tires lol

I’m sorry, but those touch capacitive buttons in the interior are atrocious!!
