초대받은 한국사람 중에 한복입은 사람이 거의 없다는 사실이 아쉽고 놀랍네요. 예전 영부인들은 국빈방문 중 만찬에 거의 한복입었던거 같은데 말이에요. 그 중에 가장 우아하고 아름답게 한복을 소화한 가비씨 너무나 자랑스럽고 아릅다워요. 영국남자와 가비씨가 얼마나 한국을 사랑하고 진심이라는 것이 느껴집니다.
가비님은 초청받으신 분이니까 적절했다고 봐요 그런데 한국외교 사절단의 옷차림이나 연설에서의 언어선택은 좀 다른 문제입니다 외국 정치권에서 대한민국 사람들은 대한민국 천둥설을 믿는다는 말을해요 우리가 중국에는 중화사상에 찌들어 있다는 말이랑 비슷한건데 그걸 외교자리에서 까지 강요한다?! 우리 문화일때는 자랑 스럽고 아무렇지 않죠?! 반대로 다른 나라가 그러면 되게 이상한 겁니다 예전 영부인께서 한복을 입으셨다면 그 나름의 외교적 계산이 깔린거 라고 봄 그치만 식사때 만큼은 칼질을 했다고 해요 우리가 얼마나 서양 못지 않은 지식인 인지 인식 시키기 위해서 였다네요

정갈한 한복, 돋보이네요. 오래 전 60~70년대 선배들이 영국/프랑스/독일/미국 등에서 선비옷('갓'은 쓰진 않았지만)을 정장으로 입고 박사학위 최종 문답시험에 참석하였다고 들었는데, 이젠 어연히 여러 사람들이 보는 곳에, 우리의 아름다움을 정갈하게 담은 한복을 입고 나오니, 보기 좋습니다.

@@SpringNotes update!!: she said she sort of knew they were there but she didn’t really get a glimpse of them and plus she doesn’t really know of them that well (she knows of them briefly tho!) but hey at least they were in the same room/building right? (and that being BUCKINGHAM PALACE!) it’s still so crazy to me
i love how subtle and light gabie's makeup was... it's a refreshing contrast to the heavy-handed makeup of "influencers." and i wonder why none of the blackpink women wore hanboks. it was also nice to see lizzie -- i miss seeing her and juno and rev chris etc.
korean make up is really light and natural looking as compared to western make up styles

I was watching the news for Blackpink initially. Then, I saw you first in hanbok. I was like WHAT!!! That’s when I noticed Josh and Ollie and Lizzie beside Blackpink members 🤣 You were so beautiful there. Your makeup and mint colour hanbok suit you really well. 가비님 주사맞는 장면 볼때마다 왜이렇게 눈물이 나는지 모르겠어요.........반대로 저는 임신중에 임신당뇨가 와서 인슐린까지 맞아서 그땐, 입덧도 심하고, 매번 주사맞는것도 무서워서 참 힘들다는 생각밖에 안들었는데, 임신은 하기도 힘들고, 해도 힘들고 그렇네요......그저 하루빨리 예쁜 아기가 오길 기도하겠습니다.
