  • The Booktube Spin is hosted and created by Rick MacDonnell. The idea is you pick and number books you want to read from 1 to 20. Rick spins the wheel and whatever number comes up is what you read in the next couple of months.

The books I'll read in the next couple of months:
    17. Krazy and Ignatz (Krazy Kat) "Love Letters in Ancient Brick" 1927-28, George Herriman, edited by Bill Blackbeard
    &
    20. There Are Doors, Gene Wolfe, 1988.
The blurb for Wolfe's book: "'There are Doors' is the story of a man who falls in love with a goddess from an alternate universe. She flees him, but he pursues her through doorways to the other place, determined to sacrifice his life if necessary for her love. For to love her... is to die."

I have closed my comments going forward because while I enjoy making videos, I find it difficult to communicate by text. This isn't a criticism of the many warm and welcoming interactions I've had with people on BookTube (this tiny corner of RUclips). I find social interactions very taxing, especially the tricky back and forth via text. Sorry if you wanted to leave a comment, but this is how I get to be on social media (by not being particularly social).
Here is a video of me reporting on my six-month trial without comments if you REALLY want to hear more about it:
