- “The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.”
About the Book: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
“In The Night Circus, two star-crossed magicians engage in a deadly game of cunning in the spellbinding novel that captured the world's imagination. Part love story, part fable, The Night Circus defies both genres and expectations.”
A note from me: This is a wonderfully magical book, and one that I would recommend to people who like lyrical prose, phantasmagorical settings, and highly descriptive worldbuilding!

What is The Night Circus about?
@@What_IsMyNameRomance! Magic! A circus!
The Night Circus is about a type of duel between magicians in a travelling circus :)
It's amazing, you should read it!
@@What_IsMyName Two magicians/illusionists decide to compete on who is the most skilled between them by training their respective students. But then their two students fall in love with each other. There’s also side stories featuring other characters from the circus.
@@Ten_522 Hey, I got the book a month ago and I LOVED it. So good! 😄❤️
"The circus arrives without warning"
"You are no longer quite certain which side of the fence is the dream"
I started crying so hard, we finished walking away of it, as we were in the circus by reading it. As what Friedrick said, we can dream back to the circus by reading about it...
This reminded me of black butler: book of circus.
ooooh ive heard of the anime called black butler but never tried watching it. Do you recommend it tho?@@MariahCorzo
This playlist remind me of Caraval books

Genuinely, this is my favourite book. I have come back and re-read it over and over and the magic never fades.
This is without a doubt the most beautiful playlist I’ve ever heard.
No way i actually recognize the second aong! I remember hearing it play in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children when she introduces Jake to all the peculiar children!
I love that film. Its so scary but so beautiful at the same time!
This evokes such a feeling in me, one that I felt as a child. Thank you so much.
This is the second playlist I've listened to inspired by The Night Circus. It must be really good. :)
It is!!! Read itttt!!!!/lh
@@anoakenstaff Sounds like the perfect book to read it October? I'll check it out!
@@AlwayslandValleyAaa yes! It's a really lovely fall read! I hope you enjoy it!
Do you have a Goodreads where you post your reviews?
@@anoakenstaff Hi! I think I have a Good Reads account, but haven't done reviews. Hands down my favorite October read is Night Film...please check it out if you haven't already. Incredible book. I will get back to you when I finish Night Circus. Do you have a Good Reads?
@@anoakenstaff I ordered the book (Night Circus) today. Looking forward to reading it with these playlists in the background :)
This made me want to purchase the book and I finally bought it three days ago!! This is perfect for me to listen to for when I read it!
I loved this book. I read it in 2012 on vacation while recovering from surgery and couldn't go swimming. This book made my vacation so much better.
Erin Morgenstern is a brilliant writer. Her second book, The Starless Sea, is pretty cool too; very mystical.
I wish they would make a movie out of Night Circus and Starless Sea, but I'm unsure of Ms Morgenstern's wishes regarding adaptations of her novels.
Still, would be cool to see the Night Circus come alive on the screen; would totally win special effects awards, and likely awards for a soundtrack. I think good composers for it would be Thomas Newman and Danny Elfman; they are pretty awesome composers.
Nice list. It fits with the book's themes.
Idk anything about night circus but as an aspiring circus performer I had to click d:
I was way too young to be reading this book but man, so many good memories came from it
I love your beautiful music🙏❤🎵, and the name of the night circus is brilliant idea. I love imagine that I'm watching a fantasy and romance movie of the night circus. 🎪🌒🌙🌹 Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful music video. 🙏❤❤❤❤

1:40 I was like "Who added an accordion to this piece?" And then went on to find out that there are multiple versions that are slightly different.
How TF did youtube know I just started reading this...
Because They're *always* watching...and listening...not trying to be funny or spooky, just 1000% honest. Tons of proof if you're willing to look and accept it.

I looked up “circus ambient music” bc I’m reading the night circus and wanted music that fit and I was so happy to see that someone knew exactly what I wanted!
OMGGG im reading that aswell!
same except i’m reading something wicked comes this way
im glad you like the playlist!!
the same thing with me!!
Ahh...what a brilliant use of Danny Elfman's score for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland"!
thank you! i love that score
@@studylyss As you said, it is an opinion, and we all have one. Like many, my first experience with Alice in Wonderland was the 1951 Walt Disney animated movie. The Tim Burton interpretation is unusual as it deals much with the backstory of certain characters, namely the Mad Hatter. It was an interesting take on the story, but did it ruin it? I don't think so. It's entertainment!
danny elfman is a mad fuckin genius, he's perfect for this playlist and tbh theres a few songs i wouldve added ToT
@@studylyssI Personally REALLY love that version! ❤ Though I respect your opinion. Often the version s we like are based on which one we watched first. That is my Original.
I don't really know what I expected from this book when I read it several years ago. I enjoyed it, but I can't really remember what happened. I do recall that it didn't have as much of a plot as I wanted it to, and it came across as more of "unique slice of life with an air of mystery." I wasn't disappointed, just the story path took odd turns, which is strangely fitting for everything that it was.
The entire book is just a vibe and I think that's the best part
I just finished my script it's called a night circus. it about a young girl goes to a carnival late at night and the clowns come alive and they try to get her to help them escape. this song made me in the mood to write.
:
This is a really unique plot!
ME WANT TO READ ITT PLEASEE
the clowns come alive...? are clowns usually supposed to be dead...? 😭
I'd change the title personally idk about copyright but it'd be better to have one be more unique to your story
I'd LOVE to read it!
This is a good playlist - now I'm interested in the book.
It's SO good!! I literally clicked on this random rec without thinking just because I saw "Night Circus" 🎪🌃✨🌜
don't. It's not good. The description is misleading and it's soso bland.
awww, that’s perfect for the book i’m writing right now!
Ok sure. Now i need the title of your book so i can buy it as soon as it’s out !
What’s it called I need to read it!
*And the girl who had never seen a carnival before was suddenly met with one appearing in the woods where she'd been told explicitly by her mother and father not to go, yet as she approached closer, she could smell the popcorn and cotton candy from all the way away, in her blind bliss, she decided to go to the carnival and see what lay in wait inside, upon entering she saw an empty showroom with two lions staring at her like the hungry predators they were, when suddenly, a Crack of a whip made the lions stand at attention & a minute later, a man appeared dressed in a red and black outfit and asked the girl "what is your name, sweetheart?" The girl was taken aback but responded "Clarissa, I didn't know there was a circus here-" the man then shushed her and said "Don't say another word, I'll show you the best circus act in the world~" he then cracked his whip again and the lions stood up on two feet like trained dogs and in came 3 more people, stuntmen and some clowns, one set down a bucket of popcorn and another, a stick of Cotton Candy, the show then began the lions did tricks and the acrobats did confounding tricks and twists all while circus music played after about 4 hours, the girl said "I need to leave" and got up to leave the tent when to her dismay, a 3rd lion stood guard over the door and the lion tamer said "You don't know do you? Once you enter the carnival of wonders, you may never leave!"*
The production quality of your music is outstanding. It's clear that a lot of care went into every detail, from the instrumentation to the mixing.
Uhh... this isn't their music? They just... put it into a playlist .-.
The first song reminded me a bit of that tune from belle and the beast. Im searching for that song but still can't find it😢
It's called Aquarium
@@terik2851 thx
That's cuz the score Alan Menken composed for the original Beauty and the Beast drew heavily from Carnival of the Animals
I'm in the part where the reveurs are described, them wearing black clothes with splashes of scarlet. I love this sm, they're so silly and happy with the Circus
Why's it giving Nikolai? I might be crazy tbh
"Something Wicked This Way Comes" vibes
Caraval vibes
It's beautiful music. Thank you for introducing great music.😘
This captures some of the book so well. It's easily in my top 5 favorite books; I love it so much.
the night circus was one of my least favorite books but this playlist slaps

I love this book! Very good read!
I love listening to the album La Belle Epoque by Audiomachine while reading The Night Circus or Caraval. The vibes are perfect for both as both have similar atmospheres.
Haven't read this book yet, however I did play this while I read a different circus themed book from this year, The First Bright Thing by J.R. Dawson!
18:02 man this one was good, why couldn’t henry have called it something else

Fabulous book. I did not want it to end…. 📖
You just got to reread and you'll be back in the circus

I first read the Night Circus in my first year at College, then I read it again in my last College year. Really good book, solid story & characters, had a lot of ideas & concepts that you'd wish were real.
