I've got the same '66 dump truck but was wondering how you got the steering column out. I've got the steering wheel off and the bracket that holds the column against the dash but that column doesn't look like it wants to budge
+Chris Layton Chris, sorry I didn't respond right away I just saw your question. the steering box and the shaft are a complete unit but will all come out after you unbolt the gearbox from the frame.
