I think you are absolutely right. I've been putting into practice what you have been saying here and in other videos and it has really helped. I had to drop blitz and play longer rapid games naturally enough, but just taking the time to think and play solidly has helped enormously and stopped me from blundering at lot. Good videos, I will have a look at your chess course too.
it would be very interesting to make a speedrun with one single opening everytime for white (preferable: no d4 op) and one single opening for black (an universal one maybe Modern d. or Hippo) it does not have to be very long just from 800 elo to 1500 elo each time
this is a much more fun playing style than trying to memorize dozens of openings and counters. my chess has improved greatly from just watching a few of your videos
Im a 1600 rated played. I tried this thinking technique with my usual opening and It worked pretty well. I feel a lot of people also play like this so its a great way to play them at there own game.
Keep these great videos coming! We amateurs know to practice tactics, which we can do on our own, and we know not to get too infatuated with openings. But how to think during a game - this is just the kind of thing we need help with to improve.
1:45 Qb6 in this position is commonly (almost invariably) met with with Na4. A claim could be made that you're fine with absorbing that attack arguing you've now got the N a bit out of position and relegated to the rim. But it did advance nonetheless and now you're moving your Q again. And it doesn't have many attractive squares to choose from. In fact, I suspect SF will recommend just returning her home. So now you've lost a tempo. Taking all of that into account, do you still play Qb6? And what do you consider to be an alternative to that move? Kind regards.
Thanks for sharing. In my attempts to play solid moves via a Colle-style opening I have 2 or maybe 3 times pushed my pawn to e6 to give myself a very long pawn chain but then regret it as it very much closes down the board and my bishops become bad etc and I blunder as I try to move pieces but keep the pawn chain. Could you show how you play when or if you create a long pawn chain? I wonder if I might instead of pushing e4 to e5 take the black pawn on d5 to make the board less closed and perhaps easier to play.
I recommend not making the pawn chain too long as that makes it easier to attack and break apart. Usually 3 pawns in a chain is already enough, 4 is pushing the limits
12:28 Why not Rf2, then whatever the king does, Rxe2. Then the king has to take the rook, you take f4 and surely you're winning. I guess you did it a different way, but I dunno - the pin seemed more certain.
I'm working on transitioning from bot games to playing against humans, but turning it into a good video has been challenging. Commentating during rapid games is particularly difficult. If it doesn't work out, I might shift to using my online games and focus on game reviews instead.
To convert winning endgame is the biggest problem I think many players like me face like losing in a winning position due to opponent's trick and counter attack
Still figuring out how to do that and also turn it into a good video. It's very difficult to play humans and explain with the clock ticking down, leads to lower quality explanations and lower quality games. I have tried it serveral times already, but not happy with the results of those attempts so far.

Love this style of play - It is basically: Play Chess. Don't Blunder. Wait for Opponent to self-destruct. Collect the Elo on the ground
Not so easy to avoid blunders though.
Like Karpov
Always try to see the best move for your opponent before make yours
Do the checklist
Look for. Checks - Captures - Threats
then make your move

Yes I think rapid is the way to go, even 10+0 still feels a little bit fast.
This is great series really helping the intermediate level improve...this is how to play chess..😊...thanks david
I would like to see you playing the pirc/king's indian defense
This game as black pretty much is the pirc..
He transfered into the pirc/king's indian after the first few moves.

Great teaching of basic positonal moves in the Middlegame! Thank you 😊
Check him with your King! Works every time 🙂
Good video. Could you make a video with colle zukertort as white, Czech pirc as black? Also, what do you recommend to help improve endgames?
I mostly play The Pegasus System which is an improved Colle Zukertort. Got a video coming out today.
Bro show us how to play the colle zukertort plz... Thank you
I win about 20% of my games with an 1800 bot, but have never beaten a higher rating. You made this look easy.
Good luck, it's easier with this thinking system to win games.
Great new channel!
I can do a lot with it. Your little dialect is also a trademark. Great work! Thanks!
Thank you!

After Na4, Qb4 attacks the knight, the b pawn and the e pawn and white cant defend all of them.
These are great videos. Very instructive. Thanks

Openings are weird. You signal your plans to an enemy.
Thanks for this, excellent lesson.
Yes you should play more dragon Sicilian. (Im preparing for a tournament so I'm learning about Sicilian)
Great video. Thanks 🙏
