Definitely a reference anyone can make as long as you have pancakes. But my favorite is if someone stumbles on their words I say line and I start laughing.
By all accounts, MST3K was a grueling, unglamorous, low-paying gig for its entire run, but the familial bond between the writers and actors is unmistakably what made it great.
I could be mistaken but they seem like they had a lot of fun making it.
Totally lost it when Crows eyes burst into flame.
Oh my lord me too. I watched part that like six times in a row and laughed like a 10 year old.
That scream that Trace let out is what really sells the moment.
And the best part?
That take was left in the SHOW! Cuts out before crow laughs and declared he’ll go to his trailer.
My favorite, and they all just keep laughing 😅
I like how they don't break character when they screw up.

I like how the puppeteers never appear on screen and the puppets react authentically to the crap going on onscreen. Even though everyone knows it's fake, it's nice to still have some amount of emersion.

i always genuinely forget theyre puppets. the bloopers are the only reminders and tbh trace poking his head out w/ crow felt surreal
+Otaking Mikohani --> I believe they use the same technique that Jim Henson made popular in that they have small monitors they watch so they can more easily sync their performance with the live actors.

Me too...the first time I watched this I laughed so hard I nearly peed myself!!
Fun fact: I believe that's actually the take they used in the episode - though they cut to commercial before the trailer line.
Probably because Traces ad-libbed screaming was so bloody hilarious.

As if I ever doubted, this proves how much fun it was to work on this show.
Greg Lytle While I don't doubt they had fun, I also don't doubt that they also suffered as well. Along with many movies that were painful to watch, they also went through several issues like continuing the show after season 7 (where they had to move to the sci-fi channel). Still, it goes to show how much they loved their work.

Robert Jindra My guess is thats because they only had seasons 7 and 8 to work off of before they felt like they had to release another Poopie, 28 episodes in total. While this one is from seasons 2-6, 109 episodes in total. So they probably just collected a lot more funny ones. While the second Poopie was likely more realistic to what things were usually like when they flubbed a line.
I love how the other puppets react to the bloopers in character. It just makes it even more funny.
Johndoe12211 After enough time, nearly all puppeteers do that. Look up some of the Muppets blowing takes. It's not the operators flubbing lines, it's the critters on the ends of their arms doing it.

Poor Trace's hat. It told its whole family it was gonna be on the show, too.
Mike and Frank were already friends and had worked in restaurants together prior to joining MST. That's why so many of these bloopers are triggered by the two of them making eye contact with each other.
This also explains why so many riffs and skits from this period had to do with waiting tables.

Gypsy- jaw falls off, not phased at all.
Tom- Falls off the counter with barely a complaint.
The Mads- literally everything, laughs and giggles
Joel- calls waffles, pancakes, only mildly annoyed.
Mike- confused during most lines, annoyed

it's not very often bloopers like this make me laugh but these are hilarious. the actors and the robot failures are hilarious and everyone of them makes me smile if not laugh

Specifically the spider bit. Clearly some box from someone's kid's toy but they just keep working with it.

Lol, these bloopers are more funny in some ways than the actual show, its so awesome watching everything go too hell on the set and yet Crow and Servo still make jokes that totally goes with the flow of the show, the makers of this show really gave those characters life!

Most of those waffles on Joel's plate at 5:30 were actually made of plaster.
How have I not seen this before!? I believe I've seen every MST3K movie (some, numerous times) but there are some skits in this outtakes reel that I don't recognize. What a gem!

Oh my god, the Poopie VHS's! Could not wait for the mail to come when I knew those tapes were coming! Poopie 1 and 2! I always think of Trace "That moment and that gaffe!" I didn't realize how much I missed these gorgeous moments in my 20's knowing I was going to get my fanclub orders! Happy days!
