Kromeification I have full LED headlights in my Infiniti Q50 and I've only been flashed once when I was on an incline and the oncoming car was on a level surface down the road. They put their high beams on me and kept them on with no quick flash... I would have felt bad high beaming them back had they just given me a quick flash because it looked like a blue/white spotlight lighting up everything around and way beyond them. The person instantly put their low beams on lol, and so did I the second they did.
As a viewer, I appreciate your content as a car reviewer, especially on the way you did this video. It's tiring to watch some reviewers make semi-deragotry statements towards a new break through in the luxury sedan lineup, which in and of itself is a incredible feat to accomplish. Thanks to reviewers like yourself, other people will have a chance to enjoy this car for what it is, a great new offering in today's market of long established brands.
that 0-60 was impressive seemed like 5 flat to 5.2 which is waaaayyy more then enough power id be happy with that.Would love to see one of these with a tune and maybe down pipes and exhaust it probly be unreal.
I honestly believe that Genesis offers more than Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. The problem is that most people are stuck in the past and are not up to date because many people are naive and refuse to read to update their respective knowledgebase.

I am taking delivery of this exact model car on Monday in Siberian Ice with gray interior and all wheel drive. At this point the only thing I don’t like is the sound the turn signal makes. If there is a way to deactivate that I’d be ecstatic.

Monsieur Africain the only thing the Optima SX headlights have over an Accord Touring’s is they “bend”. The touring’s full LEDs look much more upscale and are gorgeous at night.

Prefer the interior lighting of the new Camry v6 you tested recently, the interior lighting of this car doesn't scream luxury. The Camry fully loaded is cheaper as well at 37k. This definitely will be faster than the Camry though, but the Camry head light performance matches if not better than this from you POV test.
Hey did they retune the 8 speed transmission for this sport model vs previous 2015 and on Genesis and G80's for faster shifts? Because they are all 8 speed transmissions... Just wondering? THANKS
Those transmissions depend more on programming than the number of gears to give you a sportier/smmother shifts. Hyundai can simply make it shift crispier and faster with some programming alone.

I love the front of this car but the back end is so very bland, looks entirely too much like a typical $23,000 sedan. I'm eager to see the redesign for the 2020 model year.
It's as quiet as Lexus ES/GS but the interior of G80 feels more roomy and luxurious. I had the MB E class, the MB is a bit more sporty feel where the Genesis is more toward comfortable and smooth ride.
Well, he'd probably say that it isn't much fun to drive, that it's underpowered, that the CVT is really annoying, and that the interior bits rattle over bumps. My family had a 2015 Corolla S as a rental and it was the most unpleasant car to be in.
Full LED headlights? What car has partial LED headlights? I think you meant FULL LED LIGHTING System. That means 100% on the entire car. Impressive, you didn't do it any justice.
My experience with Hyundai has been very good. My '09 Genesis sedan has had zero issues for the last six years of ownership and is just as quiet, smooth, and strong as ever. 112k miles on the clock and still feels fresh. I think this car will go a long way.
So with this accord ... You'd rather have a 2.0T instead of a 3.3t, and no AWD (RWD bias as well! 60/40) and nose heavy FWD platform instead of the 52/48% the Genesis has. Nappa Leather vs okay feeling Honda leather... no thigh drivers seat extended or 12 way passenger seat. Less headroom. Cheaper suspension. class competitive sound deadening vs near the top of the luxury class sound deadening.... Just sayin...
Brendan Hickey Well, when you drive lets say the Accord, you hear that Type R based engine mated to that nice, smooth 10 speed auto transmission. You realize that is spacious, comfortable, efficient, practical, got a composed driving etc. On top of that you realize that you payed $25k less than that expensive Hyundai. It personally makes me forget all the things you mentioned above.
fair enough, the sonata and optima really go up against the accord in terms of price and features and in a comparison of those sure the accord is a great pick. But this is competing against German luxury and Lexus/infinity/acura, hence why it has those features. People will pay for those little features and engine choices clearly if you look at how well Lexus sells... (but yes 100% agree if one isn't shopping luxury segment then the accord is really good.)

It's not just German cars that have ambient interior lighting, Japanese, Swedish and British cars all have them in various degrees.

The only thing I don't like about this is the emblem, it looks much like the same on Chrysler 300 and Sebring. They both have the deal with the wings.

Super quiet. I have the non-sport G80 Ultimate and it's a dream to drive. Very comfortable. I came from MB but feel more impress with the G80.
