Such good memories of living at Hasbrouck! I love your video here Eloise :-) While the apartments are small and people have to be creative with space use, the sense of community here is incredibly hard to beat (and we have a community garden!). Plus there is the joyful sound of children playing together outside and a lack of smoking of any type on the premise is a huge plus!
Hi, thanks for all the information. How is the heating? Do you pay a separate bill for the heat? Also, is the laundry close? Do you need to wait for free washers? Final question, did you think about getting a portable dishwasher? Thanks!❤
Hi! I am not completely sure since I have not been in a 1 bedroom yet (Covid regulation). However, I know some people who are in 1 bedroom apartments so I will reach out to them and try and get you that answer!
The Hasbrouck Apartments! I lived there from 1991- 1993. I lived in an apartment facing the park and the observatory, just down the road from Carl Sagan's home! Cool location!
I lived there as a child around the same time. We left after 1994. I had the best childhood there. Still looking up some people that lived there in that time that I knew.
Hi! Thank you so much for making this video... This is super helpful as I also have decided to live in there this fall! Actually, I saw through google map that there is construction nearby (I think its a new building between hasbrouck and RPCC), how is the noise level throughout the day?
Noise level is not bad at all. I thought it would be worse but I hardly notice it most days. (there are new dorms being built for undergrads across the main street) :)
Hi Eloise! As a 21 fall graduate law student, I was recently offered a large single in a 2b townhouse at Hasbrouk community. Is the “large single” like your bedroom in the second floor of a townhouse? And can student choose their roommates?it seems like that there is no a/c, would that be a problem in summer or winter?Compared with living off campus, how do you feel live in Hasbrouk? Thank u so much!☺️☺️☺️
Hi! First off, Congrats! Yes, a large single is my bedroom. You will not be able to choose your own roommate and we do not have a/c. I have not lived here through a summer yet, but I am betting it will be hot so I will have lots of fans and I hope that will be sufficient (many post docs have lived in Hasbrouck for over 10 years so it can't be that bad haha). We do have heating for winter though. Hasbrouck feels really safe and feels like you are in a little community unlike many apartment buildings. However, most people who live at Hasbrouck are families so there will be lots of kids around and not as many grad students.
I had to quarantine about 6 months ago when I moved it but they do not make you quarantine anymore I think if you are vaccinated. I just had food delivered to my house for the week and stayed in my apartment. No one checks in on you or anything like that so it is very much on the honor system.
Ooh, so exciting! What a great start to a new chapter!
Thank you!!

Hasbrouck! I miss that place. Enjoy the community events. They're great!
Thank you! I am getting excited for when we can do the Hasbrouck community potluck!
you are finally back, we had missed you ...
Awe! Thank you!

Hi Eloise, hope you are well. Can you share how big or small the area if of 1 bedroom Hasbrouck Apartments in comparison to your 2 bedroom apartment?

Did you take your moncler puffer jackets with you?
I did! It is freezing cold here so I will be wearing them a lot! I hope to make some outfit videos with them :)

WOW! I love this apartment soooo much! How to apply to such a great room with stairs?
Hi Eloise,
What is the internet (wired) speed, this year we're planning to come there too 😌
Great internet! Since it's on campus housing, we have campus internet that works very fast.
@@eloisesplaza925 Do you have any idea about download and upload speed🤔 ?!
@@PLAYITSAFE I think they should be pretty good! I haven't had any problems.
OMG! Is this room 1505 of the Hasbrouck? I lived there in 2018-2019! I think this is the room I stayed in!

Hi, when you moved in, were you required to do quarantine? How did that work?

I have a nephew who lives over there as well.
Nice! Maybe we will run into each other one day! :)
May i know how much will be the rent?
$1,300/month for this year.
