This one caught my eye a few years back. Not even sure why; but apparently it did many other people too. Although they mention it’s not a portrait, I can’t help but think it’s based on a young lady Vermeer caught a glance at somewhere in passing. I haven´t had the chance to read the book yet, but the movie is very good. It might not be historically accurate (since the identity of the girl is still unknown), but it provides a very interesting, believable theory in that regard. I recommendwatching it!
