This a case of thinking that someone can't understand you when they say something in another language but when they reply in that language. ALS while it using you hands is considered a 'foreign' language.
Marlee also played a FBI agent that was deaf in real life. The show was called Sue Thomas F. B.EYE and was based on The real life deaf FBI agent who in the show had a Cameo. I always love seeing her in movies and shows. She was in CSI the older Las Vegas one a few times and each time it was linked to Gibson which was a nice link since he mother was also deaf
How many people know Abby on NCIS (Pauley Perrette) is a natural blonde or that the Beatles wanted a "bug name" because they were inspired by Buddy Holly and "the Crickets".
A few years ago, someone posted at least one season's worth of episodes here on RUclips. At that time, YT only let you post videos that were a maximum of 15 minutes so if you wanted to watch it, you had to do it in chunks. And THEN YT came down on copyright infringements and if you were posting a basically pirated type of video, YT would deleted entire segments so you could never get the whole thing. I was glad I got to see them again before all that happened even though the episodes posted were dubbed from a poor quality VHS recorded (That's just a guess but I'm sticking with it) that had Portuguese subtitles!
I was in interpreter training when this show came out. NO ONE who has Deaf parents signs that badly. It was really distracting for all the students and it was our weekly “at least we sign better than THIS guy!” Moment.
I love Mark's smile after he interprets what Marlee signed lol and the way she slumps in her seat lol but that was pretty funny what was signed xxx

I have met Codas who do not sign well at all so yes Codas might so ya codas can sign horribly
@@brian8902 me too - but their parents didn’t sign natively. It came up elsewhere that they did.
1993, not 1983.
Thanks for that.. I’ll change to 1993. I read it loads to check, but missed it!!
