Whoever decided to cast David Haig as Grim is an absolute genius, always loved the scenes with both Grim and Fowler as David Haig and Rowan Atkinson worked really well together 😎
This man played one of his own heroes Rudyard Kipling trying to find the truth behind his son’s death during WW1, an absolute brilliant bit of acting. Mind you I’ve also seen Rowen Atkinson storming round Silverstone in his Aston Martin trying to overtake Pink Floyd’s drummer & that’s no laughing matter!
@@ben6993 I understand what you mean. I've seen some really good shows run successfully for many series; but I've also seen others (comedies and drama series) run into the ground.
@@thincomedy1995 I think it’s a common trend with British comedies, they never usually last long, and the ones that do never maintain the level of greatness throughout
@@ben6993 I agree. For instance; Benidorm run for 10 seasons. I absolutely loved the first three; but felt it started to decline after that. I haven't even seen series 10!
David Haig really was the cherry on top of the cake within this series...utterly brilliant in every episode of the as Grim of Gasforth with a magnificent delivery of his hilarious lines ,how this series did not get commissioned for a further 2 or3 series is pretty much beyond me ,sadly a failing on behalf of the BBC
Inspector Grim had the most difficult script to remember and still be in character to not laugh about what he said because of the characters personality 😅😂🤣 Did very well 👏👏
The idea is to show just how ridiculous you sound when you are a person like him. He isn't a "voice of reason", he's a complete pillock, like most cry babies about modern life.
Brilliant as Inspector Grimm, but he also appeared as the very upper class Guffy Randall in the BBC’s Campion (back when it made decent programmes), or as Inspector Grimm would have called him “Hoity bloody toity”😂

This man is a gift! He is so hilarious, I get a stomachache every time I watch him. This sitcom is one of the best!
Agreed he was a brilliant character this is comic gold .
@@glenn4641 yes, I have no idea why did they cancel this show, it was a crime against humanity 😂

The king of rants.
Such a gifted actor!
There's always time to watch a good rant by Detective Inspector Grim!
The brief pause between stiff and up a house master was perfectly delivered, a very funny man.
He was the funniest character on the show 😂😂😂
Stiff upper house master😂
So good lol
This comedy is so underrated.
I totally agree. I think they could have got at least one more series out of it xx 🙂❤👮♂️
@@thincomedy1995 nah, leave the audience wanting more 👍🏻 better to go out on a high than slowly deteriorate

David Haig just brilliant playing Grim, the star of the thin blue line.

Boys a genius. We need him now...
How does Rowan Atkinson not burst out laughing every time ?!?!?!
I know right 😂😂😂
He is one of the best actors ever, he is well known for not corpsing on set
0:37 ....Grimm on top form winding up for a big one 👌👌👌😂
He says what we're all thinking!

I'd love to see the outtakes
the moment he hasn't said anything yet, but you know he's getting ready for his monologue ^^
Derek Grim was a superb character :D
Goody's reaction at 1.18 thinking he's off again lol
Grim was my favorite character in TBL. One time I think he said "Arty, Farty, toma-tee"... it was too much!
I love how he always takes a pause/breath before laying in. 🤣🤣🤣
I love Insp. Grims up your social worker, lodi da, clap trap crap.... LOL precious.
You cut out the best part.
"Rule Britainniaaaaaooohhhh.... I hate myself"
Thanks for this. I really needed it. 😂
I haven’t been this excited since they introduced the American style siren
Omg Inspector Grimm ..is just tooo hilarious
Bloody hilarious

Why didn't David Haig push forward into the movie industry? The guy is a comic phenom😂😂
I'm pissing myself
Thank you

at last! a funny person in comedy.
Just hilarious !!!
Scouts honor 😂
Utterly brilliant and very funny. I wonder if these were scripted or was the direction, 'Grim rants: hoity-toity etc!'
Brilliant
My cheeks were hurting laughing at that.
He was brilliant.
Nobody does it better! 😂
We are all too focused on Grimm nobody sees the face Fowler makes during every rant 🤣🤣
Grim sounds more like a GBN presenter than a British Police officer!
He was the best thing in this prog.
Brilliant... Hoity Toity 😂😂😂
Strange thing is, he's got a point!
The "creeping crawling" one was an🚫🏳️🌈rant. 🤣
No surprise that someone cut it off 😂
Thanx❤️🤣
the average gb news viewer
Only fools quality 10 years after only fools started
He’s like the British Louie DePalma…but with better rants
Fcking hillarious this bloke, started watching it again its genius.
