Thank you for sharing. Ive been trying to find green bananas to boil for my jamaican mom and I wasnt sure if it was the same as regular eating green banana or green plaintain. Now I know thank you 😊
A few years ago I was in a Hispanic grocery store and they had "green bananas" for sale. They also had "plantains" so I ass/u/med that the "green bananas" were simply bananas which were green (unripe). But I had them for weeks and they never got ripe. Virtually impossible to peel, virtually impossible to eat. I ended up throwing them away unfortunately.
Thank you for explaining the difference between plantains and green bananas.
I have never tried either before.
I'm glad it was helpful to you

Oh bummer. That's unfortunate.
At least now you know what you'd do if you get them again
You're great madam
What type of oil are you using? Thank you for sharing. Your accent is lovely btw. 💕
You're welcome.
I used sunflower oil. Canola oil also can work or any oil you'd generally use for deep frying.
Red palm oil is better

Plantain has to be cooked, banana is best eaten when it is ripe(yellow/ red) it depends on which type you have grown
Did I say something different?
Do they become sweet when ripe or roasted ?

Because some of us are very glad for details.
