@@tafsirdiallo I will be doing PPF on the rear doors to protect against "sandblasting" from the front wheels, but other than that, I probably won't keep the car long enough to justify doing it on the front end. (1-3 years max)
All these minor updates pale in significance to the obvious need to make the suspension softer. Despite all of thr rumours of the Berlin Ys being softer I asked Tesla and they said "don't believe the rumours". Why won't Telsa listen to feedback!?
Late 22 Model Y Performances have new revision springs. It rides very nicely compared to the older ones. I drove a 2021 LR and it was awful compared to this.
@@fiehlsport It's interesting that you mention the Performance version. Any rumours or unconfirmed reports of the suspension being softer online all seem to relate to the Performance. It's the everyday Long Range that needs something doing to it because that is the one most will buy.
I have a feb 22 myp and door panels look more basic no sweep deaign on the upper wasnt aware of the design change until i ordered some carbon inserts that didnt fit oh well😢
@@fiehlsport really? The performance model came with All seasons? Are you sure? I’m in pittsburgh PA, and all performance models come with summer tires.
I don't know man, these car should have the less plastic possible, those doors could be all cover with fake leather or another material or have same wood or metal maybe would be nicer, they should learn something wiht mercedes interior (exception those brothel lights)
The upper door panel is soft touch, the lower is hard plastic. It feels no different than a door panel from a loaded Mazda CX-5, RAV-4 or CR-V, which is the exact market this car is built to compete in. Remember, this car used to be $42,000 when the Standard Range Y existed last year. Price increases due to battery capacity and inflation don't mean it should be competing with a Mercedes S-Class.
still looks like cheap plastic to me and for a vehicle that is i the premium class it looks like a yugos interior. LIke the running gear but its definitely not a premium car in any manner.
This looks much better. I am picking my MY 2hrs, can't wait!
Congrats! It’s exciting.
@@fiehlsport are you considering PPF?

@@c0mbat15 Good point, I haven't followed the LR in that regard but hope it also received new springs recently. It needs it.
i got these on my new Y, i got it on 9/11/22
Nice! I’ll pick up my LR Y on Monday, Austin build.
Have the pics on the Tesla website been updated?
Nope, not yet, but supposedly this Fall the new interior pics will be added.
What protectant is good on the faux suede??
Thanks for sharing

Darn, just missed it!
I got these on my model 3 built 12/2021
Yep, M3 has had them for a while now.
you got the better headlights too.
Yup, happy to have gotten the matrix lights!
How do you know if you have the new or old ones ?
@@fiehlsport but are no activated by Tesla for now :(
@@Danielonn81 They work when you turn on the xmas light show :-)
@@redjonnyboy00 Matrix lights have a single projector bulb in the housing, non-matrix do not.
Door panels are cool and all, but what if I want to roll coal?
is it possible to upgrade tesla model y 2022 door interior to the 2023 one?
Yes, I have seen this swap, you just need to get the new panels from Tesla. Probably not cheap, but definitely doable.
Are the new door panels from Fremont only on the performance model or does the LR MY non-performance come with them also?
Both models started getting them at roughly the same time in August.
Is there any way to order just the original white insert and replace the current update?
Nope, the whole upper door panel is different unfortunately.
@@fiehlsport Appreciate the reply and keep up the great content.
Sucks... I just took delivery last week but didn't get this.
Was your car stuck on a train or delayed a long time? That sucks!
Did your MY come with summer or all season tires?
Drew, it came with all-seasons. I picked up the vehicle in Upstate NY.

Is the the fully electric or hybrid model?
All Teslas are electric
@Craig LeFever yes
It’s got a backup diesel engine under the batteries. The exhaust tips extend out when it fires up via a spring.
Is your model y is Austin or Fremont build?
It is a Fremont Y. Austin isn’t making the MYPs yet.
Carbon fiber would look a whole lot better.
Stay tuned - I am actually installing a wrap kit from TesBros.com this week and will be sure to post an update. (White Carbon)

It’s not in a premium class - it’s expensive because of the tech. Sit in one, it’s not as bad as a Chevy or a Dodge.
Translation u are to poor for one 😂😂
