Never too tired of the dog park!!! More please! Thanks Jordan & Jah, all the roaming around and the great knowledgeable stories and chatting with us, just
So bummed that they bulldozed the mansion to the movie Sunset Blvd. I'm such a fan of Gloria Swanson. The silent movie era up to the 1930's, is my favorite. The clothing the sets, the structure of buildings at that time, the furniture.. wonderful. Thank you so much Jordan for your videos, I'm a new sub. I love history and old Hollywood is one of my interests.
Me, too! Every single thing you wrote describes my sentiments abiut the silent movie era. Sadly, Hollywood has changed immensely. I realize things progress, but I yearn for the style and architecture of a different era. Everything... The sets, designs, clothes (oh, the clothes), hair styles, architecture, mentality... The ZEITGEIST! If I woke up one day and I was back there, first I'd be shocked, then amused, lastly I'd be thrilled.
Yes, Raingirl. They had style back then, the clothing, architecture, hair and make-up. From the turn of the century to the 60's were an amazing time. Then it all started to go sideways.......
very good informative vlog what is exciting is that although some of of the actors have now passed the buildings are still there to tell their story, tyvm Jordan
Daze with Jordan the Lion But you said in your Ennis House/Castle video a couple of weeks ago that the recently demolished Lugosi house nearby was where the first two album covers were shot..that is why I am confused. I can show you steps from 2227 Outpost that look that the outdoor fireplace that the band is posing on.
Musso & Frank’s is very nostolgic alright. My husband and I went in for a drink after seeing fiddler on the roof at the Pantages theater. They were getting ready to close but we’re nice enough to give us a little platter of cheese crackers etc. with our drinks before they closed. Very sweet moment for both of us.
Never eaten at Musso & Franks?! First time I ate there some forty years ago, waiter who’d been around forever told how they’d offer past-his-prime Tom Mix free lunch provided he ate it at table at window facing sidewalk - so folks could see he was there. And yes, “Sunset Boulevard” mansion long gone - but shots in movie of cars going up its driveway were actually at different location. Driveway still there off Sunset on westside near UCLA.
Yay.. you found Shelley Winters star walk of fame in this vlog. I remember when you were looking for it at the record store in another Vlog. Nice work Jordan on this video too and seeing the Jahster. 🐕🦺❤️I also used to eat at the 101 Cafe when this video was made after visiting my Opthalmologist in Beverly Hills a few times. Good food 👍
Re-watching your old videos....anything Valentino makes me smile!
S.B. is my favorite movie. I live in Gloria's home town. Her birthplace is still standing.
THANK U 4 EVERYTHING U DO...LOVE !

The Montecito was also the one time home of James Cagney, Montgomery Clift, Geraldine page, Don Johnson, George C Scott and a host of others..

If the Bella Lugosi house you went to was the one at 2227 Outpost Road, that is where the first two Love album covers were shot.

Been there. It's slightly changed but still recognizable. Very cool for IoftheBS fans.

The whole place looks a bit shabby and run down a sort of faded glamour .
