It’s good to see these brothers sit down like grown men and speak about their lack of Daddy issues amongst each other since this type of convo is always shunned away and treated like the person sharing is weak when it’s a form a trauma that sticks with you until the casket drops. The realest shit is when he says “I don’t Know.” Because we all go thru shit, and we really don’t know the whys, hows, should have and could have
Math! Much love man! This episode hit most of us black men who were without fathers! Thanks also Savage for allowing himself to open up, he's a really smart kid! God Bless Math and your whole crew, this show is an Anomaly....
Speak it don't hold back this is a safe place. Your story may help someone else the same way their stories have helped others, since they are very relatable especially in the black community.
Am I the only one who got chills and felt hella emotions when 21 started talking smh... You could tell he wanted to tear up he was fighting those tears back... Its crazy because i feel the same way about my pops...
I hope every man who is not involved in their son's life watches this and feel the pain in 21 voice as he speaks about his father being absent from his life. May God continue to have favor over this man's life.
I can relate alot to what 21 was saying the last minute and alot of kids feel that way to, my mom was a single parent and I hated asking her for stuff when we would eat soup and pasta dishes every week. And also providing for my other brothers and sisters, I couldn't wait to get a job to buy my own stuff and also help her with things she wanted and groceries. I have to admit it feels me with joy helping my mom out when she was in a tough spot because she did the same for me until I got a job and started taking care of myself.
This dope, and deep. I remember the first time I realized it really did effect me not having a dad. He had already died. Me and the homies just randomly talking, and all them talked about why they loved to go fishing. I was hurt. I don't have 1 good memory of that dude and it's too late to create. Im tearing up now
As a father I think it's dope how buddy called him on the situation with his dad. Sometimes as a child you misinterpret things your parents do. I can easily see a man going "you don't NEED a phone" and a child misinterpreting that as "You don't care". The brother put it in a way to be received well too. A good man who didn't make ALL the right choices AKA everyone!
21 Savage was already among my Top 5 artists but seeing how we share this story in common makes me appreciate him even more. It’s also good to hear different perspectives of this situation as there aren’t many opportunities to share and be in a room of people who understand as well. Great content!

Much love to Math Hoffa and the gang. My mom took me and my siblings back to Barbados between 1990 to 98. Then she moved us back to the states after my first kidney transplant in 97. I definitely relate to this.
They can last for quite some time(many yrs) if the kidney is 100% healthy, you remember to take you’re meds on time, stay hydrated, stay away from sick people and stay proactive with your doctors. When you loose your kidneys, yes you will have to do dialysis treatments or/and get another transplant. Hope I answered your questions efficiently.
Watch his dad's interviews, you'll see why alot of fathers are seen as he does his dad and is now himself going through a similar thing, let's see what his child says when he's an adult.
