Since you have no efficient way to land it n remove the hook. You clip as close possible to the hook ( sometimes you can bolt cutter the shank) and leave it to rust out. The shark will carry the hook like a piercing for a couple of Weeks. Sometimes they can pop it themselves by rubbing their face on rocks
The kids smile says it all!
Dang I used to surf at those beaches 😅
Is that a juvenile white? Or a mako?
What to do now? Go for a swim with it to get the hook out 😂😂😂

@user-vc6 they would need to get near it anyway, but I bet they didn't, tho
That's actually sad😢
Young great white
Is that a mako off a pier ?
I think it’s a juvie white shark.
I think it’s a white shark a mako off the pier be pretty wild , but since mackerel sharks look so similar at that size it’s hard to tell….
It's a juvenile white shark born about last season,I'm surprised it made it's way from the pupping nursery up by Monterey CA.
@reneeanthony73 there are a few juveniles in that area but normally closer to Manhattan beach.
Yo that shark looked like it had human eyes
Are you high? It's has beady black eyes.
Pitch black eyes?
Looks edible to me

GW are one of the sharks that have never successfully been kept in captivity
