For sure for sure transmogrified from the old Irish expression to be sure to be sure. And no worries is an all Aussie classic going back to the birth of the larrikin and maybe Ned Kelly himself as he faced the hangman. I think a return to the old favourite no problems, or no probs more so. Like, is total dumb downed lazy escapism to real speech. And the replacement of danger with jeopardy is total wokeism. Lots more for another day.
ALWAYS look at the menu/prices BEFORE asking for a recommendation!!! that said, a good server will go over options, including price levels; but server did not stick the people with most pricey glass... I did wine lists for the last 30+ years, am a certified somm.... David's responses are pretty much spot on... must have been a valuable server! the lead-in about the state of dress is meaningless; you can walk into vitually any high-end/fine dining spot in California dressed as described... as to tipping, when a "barista" at a drive-through coffee spot is expecting 20% (I never leave less than a buck, even on a 3.50 cuppa), the good server in a fine dining/upscale restaurant like David was deserves 20% as a bare minimum!
That's awesome Juan, congrats on working in the wine biz that long and keeping your sanity (and hopefully some of your liver!) You're right, one should always look but anything north of $20 should probably be subtlety hinted to. As a server $30 is a ballsy ask.
Only been viewrer on RUclips for year or so. Not sure how missed you guys earlier. But Ddef watched every Splendor( and Spit with Bass as well) shout out NPR SD surf report too). ...Anyhow this episode is funniest , by far. You two are like the Jerry and George of surf culture. Laughs. Keep up the great work. Maybe I should become a contributer. You guys deserve it. Gracious Amigos
In the 80s I was a surfline from San Clemente living at 4 mile reporting for 4 mile to davenport zone all I did was call in 4-6' north wind everyday and get paid

I grew up in Destin during the mid 90s and it was so quiet and magical back then. yes, now it is soulless and very touristy but at one time it was very charming and quaint. i remember starting and ending many party nights at Waffle House, it was a church for us.
