Pretty pictures and circular cars Disco bars and cool guitars You're making me wake up You're making me sleepy For the things that are running loose I'm wasting my time with you, my baby, baby blue I'm wasting my time with you, my baby, baby, blue Cocaine parties and blow on keyboards Make-out sessions and those slow jams I do it discreetly, I gotta get up and watch TV with no will to live. I'm wasting my time with you, my baby, baby blue I'm wasting my time with you, my baby, baby blue I hate it when you're totally boring and everything's alright and young and threatening It's easy riding to the blues hotel you're making my heart ache, my stomach swell I'm wasting my time with you, my baby, baby blue I'm wasting my time with you, my baby, baby blue I'm wasting my time with you, my baby, baby blue I'm wasting my time with you, my baby, baby blue.
For no reason, I had this song stuck in my head this morning. Haven't heard it in years and didn't even know the name of the artist. Was this on the soundtrack to a film or a series? Could have sworn it was on the soundtrack to a mumblecore/indie movie. Like, directed by Ti West or Joel Swanberg or something.
Same thing happened to me this morning, somewhere from the bottom od the mind this song started playing, but somehow i remembered the name of this gold worthy song and band…
You forgot the rule to be a successful band: first, name your band The Warlocks, then after a year or so, change your name to pretty much anything else. Just like the Grateful Dead and The Velvet Underground did.
We need more neopsychedelic bands :D ! Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Warlocks, Causa Sui, Siena Root, Colour Haze, Samsara Blues Experiment... anyone knows any other good neopsychedelic/desert rock bands?
Loop, Spacemen 3, Spectrum, Spiritualized, Loop Guru (if you like electronic stuff), Ozric Tentacles, Chrome, Helios Creed. Sending this answer from the future.
Saw them live for the 1st time last week, they are incredible. Was so good I went back and saw them again in a neighboring city a few days later. I have a bunch of vids recorded from both shows if you click on my account.
@DzedajO Dead Meadow, Angel'in Heavy Syrup, Black Market Karma, Weird Owl, Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound, Earthless. I would assume you already know Kyuss since you know of Colour Haze.
why more new neopsychedelic bands ? i think that the best stuff was done in the 60s ...70s... for exemple who here knows seriously the mid 70s band ufo ? ... people who don't know them should take a listen to 3 of the greatest 70s albums ...("force it" 75, "lights out" 77, "obsession" 78)...they were quite popular at that time and for sure it sound different than the warlocks I don't know why i talk about it...an unstoppeable need probably. There were much more excellent bands at that time

@BohemianConspiracy It's always cool to see how those bands inspired a new generation of music to form.
